Oh and those two opponents Bama had bad losses to had a combined 12 losses, while SMU’s two losses came against a combined 5-loss teams.
In the end you are punishing SMU for playing an extra game if you allow in Bama.

Yea you can. 0 ranked wins and terrible SOS. They are not a playoff caliber team. Would be 6-6 in the SEC. It’s hilarious to see people pumping up a team who got blown out for half the game and blew it at the end lol. But honestly, who cares? This playoff is dumb anyways. If they want to put in SMU to get blown out in the first round as an easy W for Notre dame or Texas — and draw terrible ratings —

UGA and Bama are in no way rivals. UGA is more of a rival with South Carolina and Clemson than we are with Bama.
Bama is a just a very good team UGA plays sometimes (more often when both are good and meet in the SECCG or playoffs).

Alabama is 3-1 against the top25 including a win over what will be the #2 team.
SMU is 0-2 while playing a schedule 3 times easier than Alabama's.
