quote:As usual, they haven't thought this through. If you remove the SEC from the mix, there are only so many positions available. So with a glut of eligible players vying for a limited number of positions meaning there will be many who won't even get an offer.
100% some Big-10 propaganda. Gaining some legs too unfortunately.

If black Americans held that kind of economic juice they wouldn't be in the positions they are in now.

It would be an honor for Ohio State to assist any of these young athletes in the fight against injustice.

It'll work ! They just need a charismatic leader to galvanize this movement !
The only answer is, of course.......

he was cast as none other than Clarence Thomas in "Confirmed" in 2016 -
his words at 1:55 mark -
quote:proceeds to laud Thomas and his success -
"first of all as an actor you cannot play a character you dislike..."
Clarence Thomas is not calling for black athletes to boycott the SEC - but his SC ruling put Pierce and his like minded gerrymandering ilk in their place according to the Constitution -

Lived in the Midwest for years, they are far more racist than the South.... They didn't have minorities outside of the cities and many in the old days never even met an African American.
The most racists place I have ever been overall were upstate NY and Boston.
The South largely worked through its racial issues long ago.

I used to have to explain this to my northern friends.
In the South, I went to school with way more African American kids than they did, because of desegregation.
In other parts of the country, because their segregation didn't come from laws but rather their own biases and real estate companies just NOT selling houses to black families in white neighborhoods, they didn't get integrated.
So they were so busy patting themselves on the back for passing laws forcing the South to integrate they never did the same for themselves, so while my school was at least 25% African American, as

lewis and herschel

A lot of schools that were "white" and "black" stayed that way up north and out west, while in the south they were mandated to integrate.
I'm not saying we're perfect; we're human; that said, the worst thing you can do in something like this is to fixate on the sins of others so much that you blind yourself to your own, just like they did.

This is how the Learing Center fraud was justified.. Minnesotans are super nice but they were a bunch of middle class, sheltered, farmers kids who didn't have the reality we faced.... They were easy rubes....
