I think he’ll be good to great at Arkansas. But in what way could things be worse for UK than what he did the last 4 years?

They’re going from an elite coach to who knows, it’s gonna be a huge problem at a place like Kentucky.

This is as stupid as the Bama fan who says Tubby Smith wasn't a good hire when Kentucky picked him up.

The situation at Kentucky wasn't tenable with the way it was when he left. He had multiple first weekend outs in a row, hasn't made an Elite Eight since 2019 or a Final Four in a decade, and that's never going to meet the standard at Kentucky.

He will do well at Arky, but we needed a break, it wasn't working here. Lower expectations will work well for him.

Y’all made it a standard with unrealistic expectations.

The tournament isn't the only factor in being a successful basketball coach. It's a crapshoot and crazy things happen. If you're good enough to be a 2 or 3 seed and lose in the first round of the tournament, it doesn't mean you had a bad season.

It's not a remotely unrealistic standard to get out of the first weekend at least once in 5 years.

I'm glad y'all are excited for him and honestly hope he does alright. But some of y'all need to stop licking lead paint.

They could be told no by basically everyone because the job is perceived as toxic and end up hiring some minimally qualified alum who turns into their version of Patrick Ewing or Kenny Payne.

Rant posters keep proclaiming that Oats is a run of the mill coach but he’s produced more the last 4 years than a supposedly elite Calapari has. How do you explain that?
