On the second day of UK’s spring practice, Gran was asked about the seriousness of the discussions he had with Georgia over its offensive coordinator position.
“Serious in the point that they offered the job,” he said Tuesday.

Subject involves UK and UGA so naturally a UTk fan is obsessed about it.

He's a former UT coach...so I'll allow it.

How so? He was asked about it and he answered.

Shameful deflection attempt. Perhaps you and your fellow Dawgs shouldn't have vehemently denied that he was offered the OC job back in January.

We all knew that you were full of shite back then, and today we are vindicated.

I’m pretty sure we thought he was offered the TE position with a Co-OC label.

But I’m all good. Todd Hartley just helped get us Carson Beck so it doesn’t bother me in the slightest that we didn’t get Gran.

I get that he answered the question. Just say we had discussions and move on. No need to throw out there that they offered the job.

Another appropriate place to remind some of you from the East that it might be best for your team to either finish above .500 or beat UGA (which hasn't happened in 2 plus years) before you make sport of UGA.

Now, back to your regularly scheduled idiocy.

The thing is, your ilk sure had a bunch of venom saying Matt Jones of KSR (who originally reported the job offer) was full of shite.

Matt sources is the coaching staff at Kentucky.

The whole premise of the question was to determine whether he was actually offered the job.

He’s well within his means to say he was offered if he was.

People complain about Saban controlling his coordinators but this is why I'm ok with it. Of course the media is going to get something from him that stirs up theories or outrage. He gave them what they wanted and in doing so it just looks like an attempt to elevate Kentucky to Georgia's level by showing they kept a coach that Georgia wanted. If that helps Kentucky beat Georgia then there's a method to it. Knowing Saban and Kirby, this will be used against Kentucky as motivation for Georgia and for that reason it's dumb.

From what I can remember, our fans were just saying that our insiders (Mansell, Emerson, etc.) had never heard he was offered the job.

Looks like he might have been. I personally am more than fine with him staying at UK and don’t think he would have been a great hire.

This shouldn’t bother any UGA fans. I think we’ll be ok going forward

He forgot to say which specific job he was offered.....again. Makes it pretty damn obvious he wasn’t offered anything more than a co-oc job if uga already employing a co-oc wasn’t enough. He is filling uk insiders with bs. Sad man gran.

There was an article in the AJC that said otherwise. It was posted. It wasn't some bs off of a message board. Anyway, thank God he turned it down.
