Thanks UGA! This hire does more for Mizzou than the Rams leaving.

Good thing we don't have Tavon Austin.

Power runs with Chubb worked pretty well , remember?

2014: 28th - Austin Davis/Shaun Hill
2013: 30th - Sam Bradford/Kellen Clemens
2012: 23rd - Bradford
2011: 25th - Mark Sanchez
2010: 11th - Mark Sanchez
2009: 20th - Sanchez/Clemens
2008: 16th - Brett Favre
2007: 26th - Chad Pennington/Clemens
2006: 25th - Chad Pennington

So actually, his one respectable year was, in fact, with Mark Sanchez.

Dude's play calling is horrendous, regardless of who is at QB. Like I said, maybe it is better suited for the college game and he'll do well at UGA.

His 4 seasons with the Jets. Around 70 QBR and completion percentage around 55pct every season.

Was the "Buttfumble" Schotts idea or Sanchez?

This isn't looking like a good hire on paper. I said the same thing about Grantham. I'm very critical of our hires. I liked the Pruitt hire and I had the Just Pruitt avi but I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around this one.

I said in some other thread that OCs wouldn't be lining up to coach at UGA, and after all this time, they get the Jet's OC that has sucked arse.

They'll be fine because of Richt, but Bobo will be severely missed.

We still have Richt. We'll still score points.

Hopefully so. You'll need him to stay engaged to overcome the offensive Willie Martinez.

I think the point is that if he thinks running power runs with Tavon Austin is smart, he might feel UGA is best suited by moving Chubb to WR.

Yeah, he may do well for all I know.

It's a bad hire on paper though.

Why was Chip Kelly able to coach a bad Sanchez into a better QB than Brian Schottenheimer who coached him for longer?

It's possible his game is more suited for college. Who knows.

So you're saying this is who GA should have gotten as OC?

Signed with love, Charlie Weiss.

Unlikely that his game is more college suited, though. Schotts is the only coach who has ever stopped a Tim Tebow-centric rushing attack. Think about that for a moment.

This is the only reason I'm not completely melting right now. Richt's offense is going to be run regardless.

Did Brian shottenheimer ever work with Van Jeffersons dad at the titans when fisher was there?

Would this hire affect the van jefferson recruitment? As in is this a huge positive deal setter?

Or was shotty even near the time frame of fisher at titans?

Does this mean Richt is probably taking over playcalling again?

The thing about UGA OC hires is that we're still going to run the same stuff. It's not like UGA's trying to trick anybody. We've run basically the same offense since 2001, and it's always been successful.

Apparently Schottenheimer lives in Nashville, so it might be
