We've run basically the same offense since 2001, and it's always been successful.

Except the blips in 2009-10.

Even then, the offense still moved the ball with pretty bad personnel, relatively

The offense back in 02 is essentially why we didn't win a title. Had the offense been able to score a little more behind our insanely good defense we probably win a title that year. It was a solid offense but our offense today has horses that it didn't have in 02. Todd Gurley and Nick Chubb type players make life easier for an OC.

They had good games. They also had games where they scored 6 points. It has been long enough that many of us have forgotten those games. They still happened, though.

Regardless, UGA's offense has probably been the most consistently productive nationally during Richt's tenure, or at least up there. I don't expect that to change.

Outstanding hire. Just outstanding. As an Auburn fan, I am thrilled by this hire.

The offense wasn't the problem in either of those seasons, even with Bobo still developing as a play-caller.

As long as Richt is here, our offense will be fine. I'm more concerned about how this affects us with Eason.

All we need is 7+ points. I think he'll manage.

I think the point is that if he thinks running power runs with Tavon Austin is smart, he might feel UGA is best suited by moving Chubb to WR.

Understood, but him being an Auburn fan I had to go there.

This is one of those hires, where you text your buddy you got Gruden, and he's all

until you both realize you got Jay Gruden. Then its all

Point being, there is a good Schottenheimer, but this isn't him.

I'm not so sure you can get there with Schottenheimer as your OC.

Trust me, UGA fans aren't worried about who coaches the offense against Auburn. UGA will keep whipping that arse

I'm not really sure I like this hire, to be honest. Although, I still think Richt won't let go of his offense entirely, and it will continue to be run as it has been the last few years. Hopefully, he knows how to recruit.

He's only been a college assistant for 2 years. Is this the type of situation where a guy like Richt can just tell whether or not a guy will be successful as a recruiter? Because clearly there isn't any historical data to prove he can or can't.
