Agreed. Our defense will be very young next year tho.

No he won’t. We can’t bring a grad transfer in until June. King will be signed long before then.

He won’t be if he chooses to come to LSU. Rumors are Arkansas but, he would be a little crazy to do that.

LSU is replacing the best QB in college football history. But won't be much of a drop off?

Even if Brennan throws 30 touchdowns and has an amazing season, it’s a huge drop.

Brennan won’t be a Heisman winner, but he will be a good QB. He’ll might be a little shaky to start the year, but he has a cannon for an arm. And he’s also athletic. He can move in the pocket. For the first time in years, I can say I’m not overly concerned with QBs.

Not as much as you think. A lot of young guys played a ton this year because of injuries. They’ll be ready.

Joe Burrow 2018 was a drop off from Joe Burrow 2019. There will be a dropoff, but that doesn't mean that LSU won't have a contender again next year. Still a lot of firepower left on that team and they are pulling in a great class this year. Looks like it will be a four team race for SEC supremacy next year between LSU, Bama, Florida and Georgia.

Cmon man?!?!

New team. New year. We don’t know who’s gonna be the starting QB yet. Whoever he is, definitely has some big shoes to fill. Have you actually looked at Burrow’s stats or watched him play? His pocket presence and decision making, was the best I’ve seen at the college level. It was Brees like.

So, you are saying that Burrow wasn't that special?

He could be a gigantic dropoff and still win the Heisman

I believe he will be very good, but if you’re gonna hold him to what Joe just did, there’s a 99.999999% chance you’re gonna be disappointed

there will be significant dropoff, and thats ok.

this

brennan could throw for 3500 yards, 30 TDs etc and it would still be a huge drop off. BUT, if the running game is as good as i expect and the defense keeps getting better, im good with having a 'slightly above average' QB

Definitely will be a drop off as I think they won't even try to run some of the plays they did with Burrow. That is too much to ask.

But, he is going to surprise people.

Maybe he will have numbers similar to the anticipated best QB of next year's draft.

65.8%, 3665 yds, 36 tds, 8 Ints, 244 yds/game.

Doesn't compare to Burrow, but everyone thinks it is pretty damn good.

This. Burrow is one of a kind. His mental toughness and cocky bravado...that ain't gonna be matched.
