Don’t post facts and statistics bro. The whiners hate that
I posted statistics that didn't fit the narrative and then people quit responding.

Have you told Jay your plans?
See my quote from JJ about Yorke above. Jay didn't 100% miss on this one, but if he's being honest with you, Yorke hasn't lived up to what Jay thought he was going to be

Thank you for citing a highly visible instance. Now tell me if it's an outlier.
He's spent a considerable amount of the season hitting behind Milam, Curiel, and Brown and has 17 RBI's. They've scored 95 runs. Subtract their HR's from those runs scored, and subtract Yorke's HR's from his rbi's and you get a pretty good picture

That’s an assumption you made.
Sorry I thought someone dubbed "The Creole Bambino" could hit for power.

honestly wish I had time to dig in on this because I'd like to see if it lines up.
Perception can be shaped by a few highly visible outlier instances, so seeing if perception is reality would be nice.
The other night he went 0-4 w/ 3k's, and the only time he put the ball in play was a weak grounder that lead to a double play. We would've been better off had he done his normal and watched strike 3 in that instance

30 home runs in 3 years in a low major league that plays most of its games at elevation.
If you had expectations of him being a power bat, the problem is with your expectations, not how he's living up to them.
Did you tell that to LSU media outlets who pumped up the Big Poppa power persona?

His celling isn't very high but you honestly are not winning more games with replacing him with anyone else on this roster.
I agree. He also won't be here next season, so why not develop someone who will be?

But yet the sucks????
So everyone that ranks below him in those stats should be playing in DII is what you are saying? Before you say yes, how about you look at the people that are below him in those stats.
When someone is brought in as a bat, a power bat at that, I don't expect him to have so many at bats with little to no value. He's a 4 outcome player (HR,Single,Walk,Out). No speed on basepaths, plays one of the easier poistions on the field, and was hitting like 250 with 4-5 homers before this weekend. Yes, I would say he has been a letdown so far

Cool, now post the rest of the slumping team's numbers from the series that was against a team loaded with future Cy Young candidates apparently.
Can't suck for 2 months and look at 3 games and say he's a guy

pinch hit from Reaves?! Really Johnson? Reaves couldn’t hit sand if he fell off a camel
It’s like having basically anyone else on the team hitting

Our player personnel group probably needs an overhaul before next season as well

It wouldn’t matter anyway

What’s even scarier is that the cupboard is bare for next season. Brown, Stanfield, Milam, and Curiel could all be gone

So much negativity from so many here. Winning titles every other year isn’t good enough I guess. It’s a rebuilding year, we had one two years ago as well.

Magic moment for this season is when a lot of these guys disappear before next season

Just think, had he gone to the plate 3 times without a bat, we’d still have one less out than we have
That’s impressive
