Except for extreme top end guys like Miz and Miller, I am not sure about this. There have always been fireballers, and velocity was measured at a different point back in the day.


I do absolutely agree that there are more people throwing those velocities, and that breaking balls are much faster than they used to be (older pitchers, especially people who doctored the ball, had nasty movement as well).

Combine that with the lack of small ball, launch angle focus, etc, and this is what you get.

I also find it crazy how on all of these shows, there are 2 people who disagree with each other on everything. Very strange. It does make for better TV than agreeing with each other on everything
