Maybe Jan 1 knocked a year off the buyout?

Napier did not sign the extension. Most likely, wheels were in motion already and he'll be the next State HC.

In all seriousness........I would throw a boat load of money at the Minnesota coach. He has won big everywhere he has been. If the money wasn't good enough, I would throw more at him. He is a young superstar in the making.

Several recruits made it clear that Moorhead or nothing. You pushed the rumors out and let it be known that Moorhead was retained. Then all of the sudden he's magically fired after signing day. All Mars is going to have to do is threaten a law suit.
You actually think your AD is going to say to a player they don't care? The stench from that would be worse than this. That's a recruiting nightmare
LOL, you are saying this everywhere, but you don't know what you're talking about as usual. As you were told on SPS, we won't lose more than 2 or 3 recruits, if any.
And once again...stop pretending you're not a Mississippi State fan.

That's what I've heard for a few days too. But it was from less than reliable sources, which I'm too ashamed to name

0% chance Fleck leaves Minnesota for anything but a top tier job.

9-4 2017 (technically 8-4 but I’ll give him the bowl win since it was his team).
He averaged 7.5 wins a year
Now do Moorhead

Moorhead was. You got 2 four stars this class and a transfer was coming in.

So odd to wait this long. Was there any financial benefit in waiting to let him go contract wise? I just can't believe they'd wait this long unless 1) it was too expensive to fire earlier or 2) they've been back channeling to get their replacement and it took a while to line it up.
They had to have that recruiting class or they were screwed. Mullen left major gaps, and this class was a must.

Not even every Top Tier job. I've read that there's only 2-3 jobs that Fleck would take, and he's set his sights on those

Interesting. Maybe true

What would they be? Ohio State would be obvious. Maybe Penn State or Michigan? I just can't see him leaving Yankeedom.

Rumor is he has an eye for the SEC.

Fleck couldn’t hang in the SEC. You dont get to play auburn every week.

Your own sites confirmed that Napier told you guys he wasn't interested.
You just pulled that out of your arse, no where was that said. We never talked to Napier, he was one of the first to reach out through his agent though. We went Campbell(No), then Kiffin(No), then Leach (was next but got pissed we offered Kiffin first so he said no and signed extension), then Harsin (no), then Drink (no way we would pay 4 mil for a 1st year coach after the Morris fiasco, but his dream job is Arkansas so if Pittman fails and he’s successful we will steal him from Mizzou) and then Pittman. This is 100% the order that our coaching search went down.
We never talked to Napier so quit making shite up.

@TreyMongrue: Here's where the early signing period kind of messes things up.
21 players signed LOI's in December to play at MSU next season. They pledged to the program, but also to Moorhead.
Should MSU part ways with Moorhead, those kids are still locked in.
