As a Bama fan who went to many, many SECCG starting in Birmingham in 92 when tix were 25 bucks I am gonnna miss it. Lots of memories coming out of the Ga dome and the Mercedes stadium and hopping on MARTA to Vine street. College football has changed and I guess this goes with it.

This thread sure has delivered. Boycotts? Just hilarious. It was just a week ago you guys were frothing over a Bama-UGA that meant nothing, yet you guys acted like it was bigger than the Super Bowl.
And it was a month ago where the LSU-Ole Miss was the revenge game of the century.
I totally understand SEC fans wanting selections over playoffs because it allowed you to win so many BCS fake Natties. Now, that a team like Indiana can whip the might SEC suddenly you want to boycott? Nobody in the BIG or the ACC is whining. We welcome a playoff because we aren’t scared to play games in December and January.
Last year the SEC got 5 of the 12 playoff teams and still stunk it up. What is going to be the excuse when the SEC gets 9 teams and still can’t win it? Oh yeah, I forgot, the whole we are so tired from playing the juggernauts of South Carolina and Arkansas that we can’t beat little ole Miami or Indiana.

It was a damn good game with a ton of action and a shite ton of coaching change drama. Do you not grasp the definition of revenge? Are you pissed that it had the third highest viewership of 2026? Would you honestly rather have watched Ga Tech against....anyone? Congrats. You are one of a few dozen.

Because other than a few outliers, no one in those conferences gives a shite. Of the 5 most watched games in 2026, SEC teams comprised 9 of the 10 participants. Hint: The more fans you have the more whining you will have. And more relevance. And bigger stadiums. I’m not melting. This entire board has been one big SEC melt because you are no longer handed a spot in the Natty. You guys got 5 teams in the playoff and did not beat any other team from a P4 conference. And not one SEC fan even tried to taste the humble pie.
It’s not a beauty contest anymore so no one cares who is 12-0 or has a Heisman QB. The playoffs are all about defense and making plays. The SEC teams haven’t been doing either lately. Your one hope is UGA but after watching that Bama game they weren’t overly impressive.
