BIG 10 has always claimed that academics is the first priority of the league. Those new names don't fit that criteria.

You assume the Big 10 is calling the shots. Fox is. They bankroll all of this.

I'll put $1,000 down on Notre Dame staying independent.

If expansion has to happen I will be disappointed if the SEC doesn’t land schools in the VA/NC footprint.

interesting to see if espn does anything with the acc payout to counter the b1g. i think nds negotions for home games after 2025 or bbefore will tell the tale.

This would be a smart move by the Big Ten because it gives them the hottest program in the country and keeps the SEC out of the Midwest.

Literally none of those teams are on the SEC expansion list.

SEC is already in the Midwest. UK recruits heavily there.

Hmm.

Same. UVA and UNC would add two, elite state schools and block the Big Ten out of the South.

The fans of both of those schools prefer the SEC over the B10, too. I think the SEC wants both of them.

Kentucky gets the leftovers the big boys of the Midwest like Cincinnati, Ohio State, and Michigan don't want.
