LSU baws will be feeling this one for a while. Bo Davis is one of their heroes. I'm sure they'll try to come after our D-line coach.

He was hell on wheels as a DL coach under Bama before the scandal.

Wish him well with the saints and glad he’s out of Baton Rouge.

He made contact with a few recruits during a restricted time and lied about it to investigations and Saban.

Damn shame, just an outstanding all around coach.

Yeah, I'm sure Saban didn't know anything about it.

Saban wouldn’t have him back despite multiple openings, he didn’t leave on good terms.

He got caught doing something Saban did his entire career and wasn't allowed back because of it. Business is business, but don't try to convince yourself Saban was naive to what he was doing. I've heard first hand from some high school coaches some of the shite Saban pulled as a recruiter. He was a master of bending the rules, and I don't blame him for it. Just don't try to put him up on some holier than thou pedestal.

I’m not in any way putting anyone in CFB on a pedestal.

I am stating that Saban and Bo Davis had a falling out that resulted in him being both terminated and not rehired later on.

The rumor was always that it’s because he wasn’t honest with him behind closed doors.

Saban is retired, Bo ain’t coming back to Tuscaloosa and there are no rules anymore so I don’t have any vested interest in it either way.

He left a very cush job at Texas for LSU, only to leave 1 year later. Personally I'd say this has less to do with the college football landscape and more to do with Brian Kelly.

Good coach, that's not good for LSU.

Wish he hadn't got fired from Alabama.

He was making more money at LSU than he will at New Orleans. Word is that he didn’t like working with Kelly.
