I met him in 1985, in a Waffle House at 0500 in Hattiesburg Mississippi. He was a nice guy, super friendly.

The fact you mention Red means we lived in the same area and are about the same age. Red was a local legend.

Loved watching Bill Dance's frick ups, though. Also watched Virgil Ward and Roland Martin a lot as a kid with grandpa.

I love good shyt talk but this is just wrong. Bill Dance is an entertaining good ol boy that made a fortune doing what he loved.
My only minor complaint is that he basically is catching his pet fish every episode in that maintained private mini-lake he has.
