I mean, that's great and all, but I'm not sure why you thought SEC fans would care. Then, there's the fact that that many people saw OSU fail to win their conference championship for yet another year.

When is the last time OSU won their conference?

ep they did. I was there and couldn’t help but smile at their jubilation to end the 1967 big ten title drought and 30 straight against us (1988).

Do you think it was as frustrating for Indiana to have failed so much as it was for OSU to not have a conference championship for the last 5 years?

OSU and Michigan are supposed to be the premier programs in the B1G, yest Michigan and Indian have won the last 5 championships. Michigan has won 4 of those.

You Ohio State fans constantly try to convince everybody the BIG conference is on par with the SEC. Congratulations on your BIG game but the conference has a long way to go to have the success of even just Alabama the last 20 years, let alone the SEC overall. For that matter, the 3 teams with the most tv viewers this season were Alabama, Texas, and UGA. Ohio State was 4th, just ahead of another SEC team, Oklahoma.

So are you that insecure about your team and conference that you decide to go to a SEC message board to post this?

Record-breaking moments throughout the season

Several weeks delivered historic numbers for ESPN. Kickoff weekend posted the most-viewed figures on record for ESPN networks, climbing 31 percent year-over-year. Rivalry Week achieved its highest audience since 2012, with ABC delivering its most-watched Rivalry Week since that same year at 7.9 million viewers.

Week 12 marked only the third time since 1996 that a single network aired two games exceeding 10 million viewers on the same day. ABC delivered nine games with more than 10 million viewers throughout the season, the most ever for any network in a single season.

Viewers watched more college football minutes on ABC ....

>>>>>> than all other broadcast networks combined, <<<<<<

....giving ESPN networks 61 percent of live game minutes viewed across nationally rated linear networks
.

meanwhile it apparently took college football's program with the most-ever losses all time - the Indiana football brand - to push the Big Tin to new heights its never achieved before on CG weekend in a one game setting -

Most people watched to see Ohio state get beat. I know that’s why I watched. There’s only one or two times a year that OSU plays a worthy team

I wonder if all the people that saw buckeye lose enjoyed the ending as much as I did,
after all bucky went down and that snooze fest of a game finally ended.

It should have been. It's was only 1 of about 3 games between ranked teams in the B1G all year. I'm sure their fans were happy to see it.

Top game viewership past 2 years, see a pattern?

1. Ohio State vs Notre Dame- 22.1 million
2. Ohio State vs Oregon - 21.1 million
3. Ohio State vs Texas - 20.6 million
4. Ohio State vs Michigan - 18.4 million
5. Ohio State vs Indiana - 18.3 million
7. Penn State vs. Notre Dame - 17.8 million
8. Arizona State vs Texas - 17,2 million

Don’t see Alabama or Georgia on the list…must be a niche market

It’d be interesting to see where the markets were. Dollars to donuts outside of Ohio and Indiana the largest tv audience was probably Alabama….Alabama may have the largest share of TVs tuned in in the nation. This is not unusual for the Birmingham market…CFB is IMMENSELY popular in Alabama…this is one of many reasons Alabama football is Alabama football. Not a huge population but far more of it watches CFB than anyplace in the nation.

I watched it. And the game was actually a really good defensive battle. One who knows ball could see this was two really good teams from the B1G and not just look at the score and say, two shitty big ten offenses like most games in that conference

Sec has like 8 of 10 highest rated games this year I believe .The sec also had more schools in total viewership on average per game in the country . The next sec tv deal will greatly surpass the big tens media deal .

Not 1 of you yanks have thought to come up with a conference football forum with all of those viewers?? I doubt that you arent already aware but just in case NOONE CARES on this site.

Chicken needs to make a non-SEC football forum where all 6 of you can get together and talk to people who care

We should learn to ignore this Buckeye's fishing post.

It is basically a dude walking into a room full of folks, cutting an especially loud and noxious fart, strutting back out, and then watching as everyone complains loudly.
