Being lectured by an OU fan on integrity and only wanting to win is priceless.
Most of you don’t know the name Joe Mixon. Punched a woman and caused facial fractures. OU suspended him for a year because of the backlash but allowed him to return and play the following year and he won All Big 12 honors. Don’t go pretending to be holier than thou. Mixon was a great player and that mattered more than his criminal actions.

Deflect is all you have because what TT did is a big mistake. Will cost them for years, always being tied to a cheating gambler.

This is the NIL era of college football.

It is all wrong.

But pointing at Tech for some "egregious" thing is not logical.

Gambling is bad. Punching a woman and causing facial fractures is actually criminal. OU took care of all of it and allowed Mixon to play again.
Pretend you are holier than thou but you guys are/were dirtier than most.

It is criminal, but doesn't put into question the results on the field.

Had not thought of that as a solution. Let's see if the SEC follows suit. It would be interesting!

Winning always has limits and TT crossed them. Seems you are here as their spokesperson to try and limit damage.

Players do dumb things. But usually they are self inflicted and don’t cost others money.

Sorsby cost innocent bettors money by betting on games and throwing games or stats. At some point bettors will be suing him for lost bets. Vegas might even sue him I hope so. That's the difference you can’t see. He ruined the integrity of the sport on the field not off it.

Wait til you see the rath of B12 refs. And anyone involved with sport will never give you any benefit of the doubt. Committees too. And fans, oh boy get ready. Announcers will always mention his gambling during any telecasts. I don’t think you realize how bad this is. Your school is now permanently associated with gambling, and allowed the perp to stay.

Better question is why didn’t TT just cut Sorsby loose? Dude is a mid at best. Not worth the backlash from the public. Is this TT’s way of giving the NCAA the biggest middle finger in history?

Or the State Of Nevada refusing to play Bishop Gorman?

Understandable. If you let someone play that had gambled on his sport, his games, all legitimacy is gone. We might as well script it.

There is no nuance on this one. You not understanding is not a good look for you.

I just do not see teams giving up a home game for any reason, and I don’t see the teams playing at Texas Tech boycotting unless all teams do. Money wins again.

Welp, its started:

Ross Dellenger
@RossDellenger

Athletic officials from Nebraska and Georgia sent department-wide memos today instructing their coaches and sport deputies not to schedule Texas Tech. If games are already scheduled, the schools may work to cancel the matchups.

Here's Georgia's message:

Here's a message sent within the Nebraska athletic department from the university's deputy AD.

Nebraska's AD (Troy Dannen) is on the CFP Committee this year too.

I feel like lots of that sort of talk is empty threats. However, I could see ADs refusing to play this Texas Tech team.

Why? Are the other Big 12 teams afraid to play Texas Tech?

Hopefully this is the beginning of the end and these ADs and Presidents realize this system is going to collapse unless the maintain the integrity of the sport.

It appears they are recognizing that with a neutered NCAA, penalty enforecement becomes and individual school function.
