Texas Tech didn't do anything wrong, they appealed the case and are following the court. Cincinnati and Indiana are the problem

so will Georgia or Nebraska be forfeiting any matches that end up being playoffs? They didn't intend on scheduling Tech anyway

Yes, they did. Not cutting him once they learned of this. Then they doubled down by taking advantage of legal system. Knowing no judge would deny in election year and that tge season would be over before case could be heard. They gamed the legal system.

They are scum. Coulda cut him from team and allowed him to rehab his gambling addition.

Everything TT does will be scrutinized. Any player who makes a boneheaded play will be accused of gambling. TT is now labeled as crossing the rubicon and supporting gambling in sports in games you play.

Why wouldn’t other players gamble now? It ruins integrity of sport for everyone. Screw TT

Are they no more?

Their national team doesn’t play in the Florida playoffs. I think they’re part of the Sunshine State Independent League or something similar.

Also in 2016, the Georgia HSA amended its bylaws so that their schools can only compete against members of a state high school association, stating that the rule change would specifically prevent Georgia schools from scheduling IMG Academy.

Texas has looked at similar bylaws, but I don’t know if they’ve done anything.

He did rehab, they also self reported as soon as they found out about previous gambling issues.

OU guy. You do realize the judge retired years ago and was tasked to take this case because a Tech educated judge recused himself. Whatever his ruling would be wasn’t influenced by needing to win an election.
Just comment on why OU fixed the punishment and allowed Joe Mixon to play again after committing assault with injury to a women. I saw the video. It was a sucker punch to a defenseless girl.
There is so much bad information on here it’s laughable. Didn’t really expect much different. Everyone can have an opinion but you don’t get to make up the facts. And to think, Sorsby hasn’t
even played a down for Tech yet. Maybe he never will and I’ll just laugh at how much time I’ve gotten you guys to waste and get all worked up sitting on your high thrones of integrity. That last part is funny considering you are the dirty SEC.

I get what you’re trying to say but this is tech’s problem. They’re the ones who are about to get the Pete Rose treatment.

Again, Tech has done nothing wrong. It's like everyone referring to him as "Texas Tech QB" he's never played a down for them, its no different than all the trash talk about Tech buying players and how its bullshite (from hypocrites) and everyone trying to dunk on Texas Tech for protecting their investments. Now they are pissed that the court ruling didn't go the way they thought.

I don't think he should get to play, but I'm not going to complain if he does, college football sold its soul a long time ago and this is just another nail in the coffin.

What's wrong with a little gambling? He is a grown man. Are they going to say players can't have a beer or smoke a joint? Is the NCAA going to go back to the old times and tell players they aren't allowed to have girlfriends or get married while they are student athletes?

It's 2026. People are tired of old, almost dead men trying to govern young people.

Maybe in 20 years the Netflix special about the demise of the NCAA will offer a deep dive with the other schools culpability but for the vast majority of the public this is a Texas Tech problem. They’re the ones who tested the legal system, they’re the ones looking to play an ineligible player. Anyone who wants to deny that isn’t living in reality. We’re watching the sports world unite around the one thing we all agree on being fricked up. And TT is in the cross hairs.

You seem triggered and melting because no one is taking your side. Its only the beginning, every fanbase hates TT right now. And so does the sports world. You have a lot of years of melting ahead.

The same any liberal judge uses. They will never judge against the “student athlete.”

My life doesn't change based on how well Tech plays and whether or not Sorsby is eligible

Also the first time in sports history that every college fan from every school besides TT agrees and is on the same side as NCAA.

TT united fans all over. Amazing achievement

You are here defending TT. If it means nothing stop posting. But you are melting over this lol. Your school is tarnished forever by this scandal.
