Phil Steele rates Auburn receivers as #4 in the FBS along with the #12 Oline. If Arnold plays at anything like the 5-star QB Oklahoma recruited the Baylor defense is in for a long night.
On the other side Baylor will field a veteran offense and should be one of the best in the Big XII.
Meaningless stats include Auburn going 1-3 in 1-score games last year and losing 4 times as a favorite.

I am afraid that when Jackson Arnold looks like arse tonight that Auburn fans will poison the new Toomer’s trees themselves.

Baylor had 22 sacks in 11 P4 games in 2024.
Against Nuss & LSU in the Bowl Game. 0 sacks
Arnold will eat if they don't pressure him.
On the other side of that coin, Robertson threw for 445 yards against LSU.
Bet the over, whatever it is!

What are the betting odds that you actually have friends?

Betting the over is probably my play. The line has already moved to Baylor just +1.5. The o/u is 57.5, that means 31-28 gets you the $$.

I think after Hugh started his 2 year tenure with the exact same record as Harsin to include a Bham bowl loss, they are numb to bad football news and awaiting basketball tip off. That said, there is a zero % chance TP is flying tonight if AU wins. They have to celebrate when they can, and they will go big. The fans in attendance may try to rush the opposing field and co-eds will find random bushes to jump into.

We’d probably get more traction if we poisoned the grounds at MMC instead.

It's the 1st game so it's hard to say what will happen, I definitely wouldn't bet something you can't afford to lose as it's truly a 50/50 type bet imo..
That being said, the Baylor turf is quick and that usually leads to higher scoring games unless one or both defenses are really good.
$50 on Auburn + Over Parlay
$50 Baylor + Under Parlay
If either hits, you win $100? That seems like the best play to me.

Arnold's problem isn't "pressure getting to him"

It was +4.5 a week ago, what happened?

It’s a road game for Auburn and at night Baylor stadium can be hard to play . If Arnold starts off bad that’s it your season is over and Auburn will be coaches by seasons end. If he can get hot and I fully expect him to ease into the game with Jackson and let him run some then he might just get into enough rhythm to be a good qb tonight . Although have seen many time the OU coaches make it so easy for him and he still finds ways to frick it up like throwing the ball behind the los and fumbling… Auburn fans are putting a lot of hope into him …. Hope he is better but I have my doubts … he was shellshocked last year and for much of the summer .

No idea, man...
I have no idea what we will look like. We have talent all over I think.. Need to see how that talent has been coached.
I'm still worried about our passing game. Hope it's better this year.

Don’t need to even look. Jackson Arnold had 199 all purpose yards combined passing and rushing. He led Oklahoma on two scoring drives of 20 yards or further accounting for 10 points.
And that was one of his best games of the season.
If Jackson Arnold only has 199 yards of offense and 10 points of offense tonight Auburn will get run out of the stadium.

I think Auburn is going to roll. It may be close halfway through the second quarter but I think they win by at least 2-3 TDs
