Sims is great but unfortunately he just hasn’t pitched anywhere near enough to be in the conversation. He’s a great closer who plays a limited role. Kopps carries Arkansas.
To be fair that’s not Sims fault that we have a deeper bullpen than Arkansas. Kopps endurance is impressive though

Sims is also only a sophomore while this is Kopps 4th season

The same could be said for other pitchers from different teams.

If Sims asked Kopps to suck his dick Kopps would be honored to have such a privilege and would do it with enthusiasm.
I hear Kopps is good at that, I was told Arkapigdiesel personally taught him how

I think Sims is as talented as anyone outside Leiter. Unfortunately his body of work doesn't allow us to see much beyond that. If we are going by stats, the only real options are Kopps or Nikhazy if we are looking at SEC play.

Kopps has the best body of work for this season.
Arkansas has leaned on him for a couple games almost every weekend. Sims has pitched twice one times that was for a total of 3 innings in a weekend.
Kopps gets the regular season award for helping the team to more wins.
What matters most is the post season and Omaha. That has yet to be played. I would feel good about having either one of them but there is two schools of thought.
Kopps has proven he can pitch more and then there is Sims will be fresher for the post season.

Yea, and you got to use all of that deep bullpen when The Hogs swept your arse in Stankville.

Stankville? Really? How old are you? 12? That or an ignorant adult, you pick.

No, not 12. Talking about pitchers including wins, sweeps and series was ok by me, but when your brother in class posts about Kopps giving fellatio, kind of ratchets up the discussion.
My apologies for insulting your fine city. Give my compliments to your fellow State fan for his fine example of message board decorum.
Look up the word class pal.

Sims is better, by eye and statistically, Kopps has pitched more. When it comes to awards Kopps just has a bigger body of work. Both are very very good.
Pumped about seeing sims in Maroon for another year or so.

It seems like Kopps and Sims are very similar, but that our staff has done a better job of utilizing Kopps and his talent. Seems like the State coaching staff has really screwed themselves by letting Sims sit on the bench so much.
Now, we'll find out over the next month or so if this is really the case. Maybe State will use him more in the postseason. Maybe Kopps becomes overextended at some point and loses effectiveness. We shall see.
This is a fair post. Sims needs to pitch more. Lemonis holds him for game one/game two save opportunities and has been hesitant to pitch him more than once in a series. He's only done that once all year, against Ole Miss.

Who said anything about Kopps sucking? He's very good. Very good. Nobody disputes this.
I happen to think Sims is better. Many others do too. There are stats to back up this assertion.
Stop being stupid.

Kopps just logged his 10th win in an SEC Championship winning performance you freaking leg humpers!!!!!

Is he having the best season of any player in the DVH era? I think he should be a contender, if not the front runner, for the golden spikes award.

Sims has a .50 era!!! .50!!! Averages 2 strikeouts per inning. Sims is the better pitcher and it's not even close

Sims is great, no doubt. Kopps, however, has the same number of saves PLUS 10 wins. Both are having a great year, but Kopps is the best in the league THIS year.

10 wins and no losses with the nations #1 RPI and # 1 strength of schedule. Oh and SEC Champs and swept you Mutt Faces at home.
God I hope we draw you mullet Jort wearing punks in Hoover!

Rocker, Nikhazy, Sims and Leiter
Marceaux deserves to be right there with them - stats are comparable to the vandy guys and better than Nikhazy, just no run support.
But Rocker is just a monster... I couldn’t pass on him at #1 overall.
