Funny all the talking heads say it’s Kopps over Rocker as pitcher of the year in the SEC.
No mention of this Sims kid

It’s Kopps by a wideeeee margin. Basically gives Arkansas two wins every weekend.

I guess everyone covering the game is missing the Sims kids.
Haven’t heard him mentioned.
Try again buddy. Congrats on the win tonight.
Maybe Mizzou will give you guys a rematch?

You think it’d be the pitcher with the most SEC POTW awards this year. Does Landon Sims pitch 100 pitches and 6+ innings every week too?
Kevin Kopps is the only answer

Lots of retardation in this post and this thread.

He's a closer. If they've seen him, they know what everyone else knows. Soon to be multi millionaire and join an impressive list of MSU major leaguers.

You must have been autocorrected...I’m assuming you meant to say Kopps because that is the correct answer

Another clown.
He didn’t start a game for State vs Mizzou. He is a closer. At least know what you’re talking about before you post.

He is a closer that started the night with the same number of saves as Kopps...yet Kopps also has like 8 wins.

I thought Koops doctored the ball he has so much movement on it, def best pitcher in SEC

Conveniently left out Kopps is 9-0 on the season with 7 saves, while Sims is 3-0 on the season with 7 saves.
Kopps > Sims.
Kopps > Sims.

Lot of shite tossing in this thread so let me try to summarize it.
Kopps has the better body of work this year and has meant more to his team. He's going to win SEC PoTY.
Sims has better stuff for the next level, his fastball reminds me a bit of another Bulldog alumni in Jonathan Papelbon.

Kopps has more innings pitched and thus a better body of work and will deservedly win SEC POTY because of that.
Sims is the better pitcher though if you are looking for just one or two innings to close a game (see stats posted above).
One is a true closer the other is basically a long reliever.
And too the ones who say it isn’t close, Sims has 72 SOs in 32 IP. That’s an average of 2 an inning and has a .50 ERA.
Also I have no idea why Sims doesn’t show up on the NCAA ERA leader board and it isn’t because of IP since there is a guy on the board with less IP than him.
