Best offense and worst defense. Shootouts are more interesting than 10-7 games.

The former basically is us in 2013. The latter is basically us last year.

The former is more fun but more stressful. The latter is painfully boring but you feel more confident

As someone with recent expert experience I think I can say either is excruciating and frustrating af

As crappy as a bad defense is to have, there's nothing worse than constant 3 and outs and struggling to reach 17 points. I'll take the best offense.

We've had the offense seasons

I'm good.

I'll take scoring over 40 a game every game and seeing what happens on defense at this point. Though obviously I'd prefer having good both.

Even though I loved last year's offense, I gotta go with best conference defense and worst offense.
Not only does a strong defense usually give you a much better chance of winning, it also CREATES offense or even scores points.....

Best defense and worst offense all day. LSU made a living with that ensemble for years.

Based on stats and considering who we’ve played, yes we have the best offense

Even a worst defense can find a nut for a key turnover.

There’s no digging out of a shite offense. It’s horrible.

As a Gator fan, can confirm for the years before Mullen.

Franks during Mullen, too.

It sucks for your defense to be very good, because you can just watch their will to play go out the window after every three and out. Especially when they make a pivotal stop and the offense just comes out and bricks.

I'd much rather be able to score almost at will, because the defense really only needs a stop or two in the game.

check this out ...

SEC StatCat
@SEC_StatCat
The SEC offenses with the highest % of plays going 15+

1. Florida 17.6%
2. Ole Miss 15.2%
3. Alabama 14.8%
4. Miss St 12.7%
5. UK 12.4%
6. TAMU 11.6%
7. LSU 11.3%
8. Tenn 11.2%
9. UGA 10.1%
10. Auburn 9.57%
11. SCar 8.28%
12. Mizz 8.15%
13. Vandy 7.41%
14. Arkansas 6.98%

Rebels have been fun to watch on offense so far.

as for the OP question - I'll take best defense all day as long as it's a shutdown defense that's nationally ranked. don't mean shite to be the best defense in conference if it's only Top 40 nationally. ask the B12.

I'm not sure what year it was, though I think 2016, Alabama's defense held the other team to so few points, and scored enough on their own that they would have won several games without the points the offense scored. It seems like the number was 7 games it would have won but that seems crazy.

I'm sure another Bammer will be along soon to fill in the specifics.
