If you’re not going to College Station for a game or something A&M related why on God’s good earth would you leisurely visit that town?

Again, I say that as someone who likes the town. But if I wasn’t a student and/or didn’t enjoy football or college bar scenes I’d drive my head through the wall.

You don't. It's basically a strip mall in the middle of nowhere.

So are we judging it as a college town or a vacation destination?

Hattiesburg? Damn those druggie coast rats for beating us again.

Metarie? Has this asshat never heard of Tulane/New Orleans?

To hell with Norman and Stillwater. You haven't lived until you've partied at Cameron University.

This slap job was obviously thrown together by a goob who's never left his mom's basement. "Let's see, Texas. This town has the word 'College', so it must be the only college town in the state."

How about a town that students don't flee when they're not required to be in the classroom.

And by the way, I brought up the leisurely stuff because you mentioned the year-round hotel rooms - implying that people were visiting College Station in droves for more than just football/A&M related events.

Whoever done this obviously hasn't ever been to Tuscaloosa. But I don't blame them. Odds are they would at least be shot at if not shot. It's a trash pile with a stadium in the middle of it.

When I want to get my party on, first thing I think of is Rexburg Idaho. Those Mormons can bring it.

The same thing that's in Baton Rouge. Louisiana and failure.
