Arkansas is the only team in the SEC with two first round picks predicted for 2022 playing infield
Moore going 13th 2Nd base
Wallace going 35th 3rd base
Also 1B freshman Peyton Stovall was projected first round las year but withdrew his name from the draft.
Maybe the pros should listen to this board on who has the best infield
LSU has a 3rd baseman in there and Vandy SS is in there

That’s because Tre Morgan isn’t draft eligible
Berry will go Top 5 as a draft-eligible sophomore.

Where was he predicted to be drafted out of HS?
We have 3 first round picks playing IF and our SS will be drafted top five rounds. Carry on

Best infield power 'stache in the country goes to Tim Elko.

My only question about LSU hitting-wise is the bottom of the lineup, Ole Miss and Arkansas may be slightly deeper 1-9 but LSU has a ton of elite hitting in the top half. Maybe Milazzo, Thompson and Beloso step up though.
Regardless those should easily be the three best offenses in the league this year.

From his production in the fall and spring, we may see Beloso at the 5 hole and Dugas (leading HR hitter) move to the 9 hole.
6-8 will be interesting. Johnson has mentioned that Thompson is the most improved player on the team, so I think we're all expecting a jump. Brayden Jobert, one of the best JUCO hitters in the country last year, is expected to start and hit somewhere in that order. Great combination of size, power, contact, and speed. The catcher spot is very interesting. Millazzo is probably the best defensive catcher in the SEC, while he is simoultaniously the worst hitting every day player in the SEC at the same time
I think we'll see a decent amount of catcher Tyler McManus. .350 15 HR hitter last year for Samford. Obviously not the same competition, but he can hit. The last 3 or 4 scrimmages, Johnson has gone basically the starters vs reserves, and McManus has been on the starting side for all 3.
Opening day will probably look something like this.
1. 1B Morgan
2. 2B Doughty,
3. 3B Berry
4. CF Crews
5. DH Beloso
6. SS Thompson
7. RF Jobert
8. C Milazzo
9. LF Dugas
Maybe some shuffling, but those are more than likely the opening day guys.

Crews is not batting in the 4-hole
Jay Johnson has his best hitter in the 2-hole.

Go look at the last few scrimmages.
Also go listen to him talk. I think he thinks Doughty is the best hitter on this team.
