So if that quote referred to the MDB, would that mean they'd fly through the air and attack rival fans?
If someone from the MDB did this they'd be my best friend for life.

Why does every college band I see suck?
My high school marching band would have shite on every college band I've ever seen.

Yes, not bad for first attempt but try to go for degree of difficulty next time.

Will step it up next time.

LSU and its not close.
They have alot of New Orleans brass music tradition in the band. Let's just say that football players are not the only thing they recruit from the inner city NOLA. the closest thing big time college football has to what the HBCs do and that is not a bad thing at all... They get loud and have the best mid game pep songs. Chinese Bandits is my favorite of them all. Neck is good too. Running into the stadium before the game is also one of my favorite band-traditions in college football. the mardis gras parade they put on before games home and away is great too.
Alabama's has some work to do mid game. Holding on to too much traditional stuff from the 60's. I wish we played the chorus from Sweet Home Alabama everytime we got a first down or forced 4th. Pre-game we do a march from the quad to the stadium, that execution could be better IMO. But there is alot going on in Ttown before a game so its hard to make that a main-event.
ATM: when you see it for the first time it is pretty special and unique. Great traditions behind it. But it does seem like the same thing eveytime. Too much military influence to be considered the best marching band in college football. You are an alternative, not the standard...

I don't think you can compare A&M to everyone else. They are in a totally seperate place from every other band in college football.
The discipline and precision and just they way they go about marching on the field is just astounding.
I remember going to the Ohio State/Texas A&M Sugar Bowl. Band wise, I went wanting to see Script Ohio because I had never seen it before.
I left thinking that the Aggie band was the most disciplined and most incredible band in the sport.
I love LSU's band, but if they want to sniff the aggie band, they need to simple things that they do not do now, like walk in straight lines during the pre-game show. The Aggie band does the little things perfectly, and that's what seperates them..

Tennessee Circle Drill is very cool to see live.

Agree.
Also, as far as pregames, I'll have to go with a toss up between Michigan and LSU

We don't hold on from much stuff from the 60's, other than Yea Alabama. Also to put it into perspective Chinese bandits is from the 50's.
Also we tried playing Sweet Home Alabama, and no one liked
It. I think it's cheesy anyway. Besides, people like it when we play le Miz.
Also in terms of the parade march to the stadium we can only do so much. Idk if most people know this but we actually have to split the band in order to get through the barriers in order to get to the stadium. Not to mention it would take us forever and we usually go into pre game when we get to the stadium anyway.

It's TGBFTL and it's not close.
A&M's band is meh.
Tennessee has a great band and Alabama and Auburn are really good too.
Our band sucks

A&M is the outlier, good but different - doesn't fit the mold of a collegiate band
that's because it's a glorified drum and bugle corps.
While their formations look impressive, they are not difficult at all.
...and then there's the 'music'.
LSU is the clear #1.
