The A.D.'s & coaches just need to step up to the plate & go to a 9 game schedule. It's coming weather they like it or not. The other major conferences (Pac, B1G & B12) are either already doing it or are scheduled to do it. Then we can go 6-1-2 & everyone is happy. All teams will play each other at least twice every 6 years...
Imma think TV is gonna demand it pretty soon anyways...

Astonishing to me that anyone even gives a bloody damn whether some other school MAY have a theoretically softer schedule because they draw, say, Ole Miss every year rather than AU. If you don’t want your team to play the best your conference has to offer on a regular basis, what are you in it for? Just to try to get to the title game? ...SMH...

SEC attendance is down 1.3 percent since the league set a national record in 2008. That figure is tickets sold, not the head count of those actually in the seats. Just because a game is listed as a sellout doesn’t mean every seat or parking space or concession-line spot is filled.
Television is the main reason. There are more televised games and more choices than ever before. The TVs themselves are bigger and better, with superior picture quality and theater-level sound.
Moreover, while crowd figures are creeping downward, the price of so-called “guarantee” games continues up. Once upon a time, a couple of hundred thousand dollars enticed an outmanned marshmallow into an expected beating. That figure now bumps up against seven figures.

And Auburn is rivals with Alabama. Who's also rivals with UT.
Meanwhile, LSU acts like everyone is their rival because they don't have a real one.

that will matter not when we go to 16 teams and then we'll be bitching about the 7-2 or 7-2-1

Joe Schad: SEC looking at model where UGA-AUB and Bama-Tenn play every year but others rotate
Guess that answers that question.
So 6-1-1 for those four schools and 6-2 for everyone else is officially (would Joe Schad lie?) on the table.
Interdasting.
ETA: Would that actually work? I guess with 14 teams it would have to work but I'd love to see a sample schedule of how that would work over a 10 or 20 year basis...

t's been a known non-negotiable since day one.
So why are we hostages to it when a team like South Carolina or Arkansas aren't? You do a good job of deflecting on this board.

kinda sucks how little we will get to go to college station, baton rouge, and tuscaloosa but i guess that's the price we gotta pay
hostages? to quote south park "if you don't like it you can get out"

SECrant is still part of an LSU site. Good try though.
When someone (not you) comes on this board and tried to swing his dick around and say "This is an LSU site buddy," that guy is a dumbass.
Don't be that guy.

And everyone is under the impression we're affected by this so they keep posting about it like it's some awesome dig that keeps eating at us.

I'm not the one who's been posting for 17 pages and using the "This is an LSU site" argument.

Precisely why I come here and avoid the Tiger Rant like a plague.

he once tried to tell me once that i didn't know shite about georgia's rivals cause his UGA relatives said otherwise

This is exactly my point. Rivalries are important because they exist separately from the race to the SECCG. If you take them away, it's bland. The biggest ever LSU-Alabama game doesn't hold a candle to the atmosphere or the legend of the Iron Bowl, 3rd Saturday, UGA/AU... those are the kinds of games that formed the SEC. Before there even was a title game.

So one dumb post constitutes 17 pages where I wasn't even involved until like half way through and have been discussing the structure this entire time?

Brertiger and therick have set an example that TA needs to follow.

bullshite dude. I said that my brother in law that went to UGA and is from GA (they still live there) tells me all the time that Auburn is third on his list. His buddies all maintain the same thing. I understand that is not true for all, but it is for him.

It's been more than one dumb post in general. But that one didn't help your case.
