All I'm getting from this thread is that LSU is mad that they don't have a rival.

You need to go to the Tiger Rant and spew your entitlement there. This is the SECrant
SECrant is still part of an LSU site. Good try though.

It just shows that the rivalry games really aren't that important when Missouri is in the East.
Well this is based on the presumption that Missouri has been playing a team since 1901 that will end because they are in the east.
You are confusing the definition of a rivalry.

How many rivals is everyone else allowed to have? Because UGA is rivals with UF.

That's real nice, but I was kinda talking about the real LSU contingency, like the coach and AD.. You know they would be tempted.. but they wouldn't want Vandy every year, would they?

Simple solution
No division changes, just no permanents except those four

Pretty sure they were arguing in favor if either having a 6-2 or only having your west division schedule count for purposes of making the title game. I agree with the former.

Which only serves to show the hypocrisy of everyone calling LSU fans scared.

Sounds good to me.

I like how only LSU fans are in support of the OPs plan, but I digress...
FTR, if that was the only way to save our rivalry games, I would be all for it.

Even more simple, Move UT to the West.

I would actually like to play teams like UGA more. Rotation offers that. Permanent doesn't.
So would I.
But this concept of Auburn, Alabama and Georgia having 2 rivals that they absolutely must play every year isn't new.
It's been a known non-negotiable since day one.
We can arrange the divisions however we like or have no divisions at all but if those schools can't have their 2 rivalry games every year then the conference will fall apart.
Flame them all you want for it but it's the worst kept secret in all of college football.
It's not negotiable.
If LSU really doesn't like it, we should just find another conference. Because we don't have the voting block to change it. And even if we did, I'll bet those three schools would secede and bolt the SEC before they'd give up those rivalry games.

I'm not even a proponent of it, I just think what it highlights is the hypocrisy of the fanbases in this debate. Nothing more.
