i figure if LSU doesn't like it then they should give the Big 12 a call. or hell even try and go independent and get a TV deal with like TBS or something
I want to play UGA more though.

Exactly. I know it won't change. Just fun to highlight the hypocrisy of the situation. South Carolina and Arkansas changing constants, no problems. Kentucky off our schedule, no problem. Missouri to the east, no problem. LSU wants to rotate in the east, OUTRAGE AND SCARED.
No, I was responding to the comments about onoz you look skurred. OMG ducking a tough game. No one is embarrassed nor are they ashamed or put in a corner. Our proposal isn't being accepted, that happens all the time. The fact that some hack in print media who won't have a job in about 3 years writes a mean article doesn't amount to much.
Also, the sleight is what you are looking for.

We should just let Ole Miss and LSU switch permanent opponents.
This would be interesting to pose to the LSU contingency..I guess we would find out what all of this posturing is really about..

I would actually like to play teams like UGA more. Rotation offers that. Permanent doesn't.

And looking bad in the process.
Glenn Guilbeau has been shitting all over LSU this week:
quote:
Two of LSU's most treasured victories of all time happened at night on national television against Florida — on Oct. 11, 1997, when the No. 14 Tigers upset No. 1 Florida 28-21 as the goal posts came down and the 28-24 win on Oct. 6, 2007. Five of the last six LSU-Florida games have featured a top-five team. Three of the last six meetings have featured a No. 1 team with LSU No. 1 twice. And the winner of three of the last six has gone on to win the national championship.
And some LSU officials do not want to keep this series going?
quote:
Miles does not want to play Florida permanently any longer. Neither do athletic director Joe Alleva and outgoing chancellor Mike Martin. Some LSU reporters want to see it end. They all whine that LSU should not have to play Florida and Alabama every year. Yet Alabama has to play Tennessee and LSU every year and Auburn has to play Georgia and Alabama every year, which sounds pretty even.
LSU-Florida should remain permanent opponents
quote:
If LSU coach Les Miles had been allowed to make his 2007 schedule, he would not have won a national championship. The last one for the Tigers would have been in 2003.
quote:
But here’s what killed the Spurrier-Miles Doctrine of Divine Dumbness. Had this plan been in place in 1993 along with the same head-to-head tiebreakers the league has always had, Curley Hallman’s 5-6 LSU Tigers – 3-5 overall in the SEC - would have won the West with a 3-2 record against West opponents. Alabama, which finished 9-3-1 and 5-2-1 in the league to win the real West, was also 3-2 that year against the West, but Hallman upset the Tide 17-13 in Tuscaloosa that season
Curley Hallman won the SEC West in 1993
Not really a fan of Guilbeau but he clearly is having a lot of fun this week at Miles' and Alleva's expense.

LSU would grow complacent with less competition and others would rise up. It wouldn't be the free ride it appears to be.
Yeah that free ride crushed FSU and Miami. It wasn't until they joined the same conference that the cream really rose to the top.

And I answered. No. I want a 6-2. It's not just about playing UF, which is what y'all all want to convince yourself of.

get us OOC, tOSU just backed out on us. or by then the SEC will have failed and we will go independent and then we can play all of our rivals. but in that case i am afraid we need to take TBS back from LSU, that's our network daggummit

But it's really not. This was a problem before they joined IMO.

The impossible is a difficult concept for you to grasp isn't it?

It was, but now someone has to go to Columbia, Missouri.

my scenario is as likely as us losing our permanent rivals, i see no issue in it

It just shows that the rivalry games really aren't that important when Missouri is in the East.

Under the OP's scenario, you wouldn't.

I say the best solution is to kick missouri and a&m out and go back to the way it has been. Things seemed to be going pretty well.
