I also see your point in trying to diminish Bama's century of dominance. Bama was awarded titles by the voting committees at the time. Just because it wasn't the BCS or the CFP and happened before you were born doesn't mean it didn't happen. Go tell a Notre Dame fan they have 3 national titles. Go tell USC they have 3 because by your metrics, thats all they have.

Bryant signed all those young men but he played them. Look back to those days and he sent in waves of players, some times playing 2 and 3 QB's several RB's entire OL's and DL's and so on.

Its not the transfer portal that is a game changer its the one time transfer without having to redshirt that will help teams like Arkansas. Two different things.

lot people seem forget bear bryant was a man from ARKANSAS... seem like Bama fans ought to thank Arkansas for success... just like how they got their current ball coach from west va.
