The odds of LSU losing to either Arkansas or Georgia are a hell of a lot higher that Bama losing to Auburn. Sorry LSU is getting fricked in this deal and has to play an extra game, but everybody keeps losing. Not sure why all the Tigers are pissed, they have a chance at going down as the greatest college football team of all time(by strenght of schedule standards).

Oh, if LSU wins out and beats Alabama in a rematch this is without a doubt a top-5 GOAT team.

there are 4 scenerios here

1. arknasas loses to lsu, lsu beaets georgia

lsu v. bama rematch

2. arknasas loses to lsu, lsu loses to georgia

lol, lsu v . bama rematch most likely, though I could see...no no i could not actually. lsu SoS too strong

3. arknasas beats lsu, bama beats georgia

Arkansas v. bama rematch, with lsu going to the sugar bowl

4. arknasas beats lsu, bama loses to georgia

all hell breaks lose, arknasas versus lsu again in the NC game

i don't see any scenario where this anything but a SEC WEst game in the NC game
\

the only way arknasas could get in the SEC champ game is for auburn to beat bama and that's not going to happen

Not true yet. If Oklahoma beats Oklahoma St, you will be correct. I know most people think that a loss right now eliminates Oklahoma St.. but after what took place this weekend it's no longer true. They fall no further than #5, most likely #4, outside shot at #3.

But OU is going to drop pretty good. I don't think a win against OU will be enough to bring them up high enough anymore. They needed OU to stay top 4 in the polls.

Well that's not what he said and not what I was questioning. Thanks for your input though.

SEC-west vs Oklahoma St is the only other option right now. Not as likely as a rematch at this point in time, though.

OU stays inside the top-10 easily. Probably #7?

1) LSU
2) Alabama
3a) Arkansas
3b) Oklahoma St
5) Virginia Tech? Stanford? Oklahoma? Houston?

if ou beats okie state, there is no other possible scenario. and I don't think it's that possible, I think Okie state is going to be 4th in the BCS

3 SEC West teams cannot all play in BCS bowls. The only scenario of 3 SEC teams in BCS bowls is if Georgia wins the SEC title game, but Bama and LSU still finish 1 and 2 in the BCS and play for the title.

Ithink some people in this thread aren't familiar with the SEC tiebreaker (and more specifically the BCS forumula and the computers).

If Arky beats LSU, most people don't realize that the most likely scenario is that LSU still goes to Atlanta. LSU has a commanding lead in the computers, and even if the human polls drop LSU to 3rd, LSU would still be 2nd in the BCS....thus it comes down to head-to-head between LSU and Bama....LSU goes to Atlanta.

Oklahoma State isn't going. The big12 not having a CG is going to keep them out.

It's all SEC and I think Bama is in for sure. Winner of Arkansas/LSU joins them.

Ofcourse I'm assuming whoever beats Georgia.

You'll without a doubt be #3 in the human polls.

Not sure about Okie State. Losing to Iowa State has got to hurt. Plus, OU now has two loses - so, SOS will not be as high. Computer ranking has got to take a big hit.

It would be close I think but Alabama getting another game against GA could boost them ahead of LSU even though they lost to them.

A big hit as in from #1 to #3 or #4. Oklahoma staying in the top-8 will help them tremendously. A win over a top-10 team late in the season is always a nice boost. I'd say it's 60/40 rematch right now.

It's ironic that Oklahoma St choked their season away and then Oregon and Oklahoma gave it right back to them.

So let me get this straight:

LSU #1
Bama #2
Ark #3

you say that if Ark beats LSU then LSU would remain #1, bama would remain #2, and Ark would still be stuck at #3? That make about as much sense as a football bat.

And ya'll call us delusional.

Why would Alabama go to the SEC title Game if LSU lost to Arkansas? LSU would only have 1 loss on the season matching that of Alabama. Alabama lost to LSU already head to head. LSU beats Georgia in the SEC championship gaining the #1 ranking with Bama retaining the #2. LSU vs BAMA BCSNC.

That would be impossible I believe. Can't have three teams from the same conference in the BCS.

With Arkie at #3 - LSU will fall to 3. The upsets today hurt you guys worse than you think. No room now for error.
