I'd raid em. it's not really all that hard to do.

the only thing though is like, right now my extra hard drive is basically hot swappable.

but what RAID does is basically make it one big hard drive. that's why they have to be identical beucse it makes it one hard drive. the thing is when you do that, you can't hot swap either of the drive (take it out and put it in another pc or just take it out and save it in general)

that's really the only drawback

lol no the real hard part is making sure you don't bend the fricking pins on the processor. when i had my computer company we lost at leat 1 processor a week to bent pins because we custom built everything ourselves.

if it doesn't automatically just fall into place do NOT put pressure on it. it should just fall into place. if ONE of those pins is gone it's a wrap jack.

also figuring out the correct motherboard jumper configuration can be a bitch if you haven't used the motherboard before. lol this brings back memories with all the raid and all the water cooling and shite i learend how to do you know what gives me the most fits? you know the towers that come with the special lighting and shite, usually by the time i figure out the jumper configuration to get all the lights to work i want to throw the pc through the window. it's never what the manual says. ever. so you end up going in and just trying out every possible fricking configuration and it's not like there's a lot of space.

oh and a time saving tip, wire the entire thing on the table before putting it into the tower. it works much easier that way. and the power supply shoudl always be the very last thing you put in or you will have hell getting to every part of the pc

not necessarily water cooling. just something bigger than the bull shite fan that the pc comes with.

get some thermal paste at best buy for 6 bucks and a 30-40 dollar fan like this

see the cheap arse fans are literally just fans.

the more expensive fans actually have exhaust systems and draw in and expand heat from the pc. tey are 10x more efficient than the BS that comes with the pc. you don't have to go water cooling to get a good cooling unit. i honestly just do the water cooling beucase it looks bad arse.

I took this shite really seriously back 10 years ago. really if yout ake it as seriously as i took it, you come out cheaper int he end.

beucase i would spend 800-900 bucks on shite and it woudl be nice but i would end up upgrading something every 2-3 months. 100 dollar stick f memory here, new SATA hard drive there, new water cooling unit here, blown power supply there, that shite adds up quick and you've spent 800-1200 dollars a year.

now I'd rather just build me a bad arse rig every 3 years. i built this earlier this year and this will last me probably until i'm 32-33 years old and still be more than up to date.
