That's not bad since we used to average only about 3,500 in our old dumpy stadium. Capacity is 7,000.

One of the many funny stories about Bertman is when he was talking to Paul Byrd regarding his struggles on the mound. He told Byrd "It's not your fault. It's my fault, I should've never recruited you."
When men were men.
Spurrier used to say that to Wuerffel after a bad interception.

You'd really choose college baseball on a sunny day in Malibu?
I forgot they are located right there on the beach. I thought I remembered them being good at baseball back in the day, but they've only had one trip to Omaha in my lifetime.

I don't want it turning into a regional sport the way college hockey is.
Agree, but I’m afraid that’s already happened.

Outside of a handful of locations, nobody gives a shite about college baseball

Hattiesburg ain't bad, but it's not bigger than most SEC towns, and frankly it's not even close. It's only bigger than the two SEC cities in Mississippi.
Nashville - 692,587
Lexington - 321,793
Baton Rouge - 222,185
Knoxville - 192,648
Gainesville - 140,398
Columbia, SC - 137,541
Athens - 127,358
Columbia, MO - 126,853
College Station - 120,019
Tuscaloosa - 100,618
Fayetteville - 95,230
Auburn - 78,564
Hattiesburg - 47,068
Oxford - 26,430
Starkville - 24,657

I know there is a ton to do in California, but there are also a ton of people out there, too. With the great teams they have had over the year as well as their large student bodies, Its amazing what apathy UCLA,Southern Cal, Long Beach State and Cal State Fullerton "fans" have for their programs.

Agree that California or Arizona has no reason not to support college baseball better.
Several of the schools have a great tradition of winning over many decades. At the least, the players deserve it.

I've spent a shite ton of time at Camp Shelby.
Ropers (shithole, might be closed now)
Brewskis (not bad)
Keg and Barrel (decent)
Shenanigans (sausage fest because every 11 series or 19 series Joe at Camp Shelby for training will go there)
Downtown (cute, but has nothing on Oxford, Athens, Auburn, or any other college "town" in the SEC).
Even for all the shite Starkville gets, give me the the Cotton District over Hattiesburg.

Hattiesburg/Pinebelt area has a population of around 175k so it's much larger than Starkville or Oxford.

Even the beach is boring sometimes if you live there.
This ain't a bad place to catch a game.

Nothing to do in Tuscaloosa except go to the strip and dodge bullets. As far as your football stadium in Tuscaloosa when you sit in the 50 yard line you are so far from the field might as well stayed at home and watched on television

That must be a strict city-limit population by the look of it.
Metro BCS is 275k, BR is probably 800-900k, Nashville is more like 2 M.
