Well, old bitch Mitch is getting what he wants at UK. He down-sized Commonwealth Stadium and made it Kroger Field. Then he down-sized Rupp Arena, something I didn’t think was possible. 30,500 and 10,272 are crowds often seen in the MAC and CUSA. I have a feeling that bastard is trying to move UK to one of those conferences before he heads back to his home state of Kansas. The Cats already play men’s soccer in the CUSA, after moving from the MAC.

Let's just hope we get something. Too many politicians and media mouths are pushing for cancelling the seasons entirely, so you know 100% capacity isn't going to happen.
Probably the best we can hope for is 50% this year, and when everyone doesn't die by New Years, we get a return to normalcy next year.

Downsizing the venues is smart. All indicatora point to in-person attendance taking a big hit across the board for everyone in the coming years. I think there's a very good chance everyone is going to be downsizing their stadiums within the next decade or so. TV coverage is just too high quality and too widely available for schools to keep charging the way they do for in-person attendance. Barnhart may come out looking like a genius in hindsight.

Or, more likely, he’ll look like a fool for sacrificing a basketball recruiting advantage. UK had led basketball attendance for 21 of the past 22 seasons. Now Rupp has fewer seats than the chicken bucket at UL, the TBA at UT and the Smith Dome at UNC. I seriously thought there would be an uprising by the 3,000 fans who lost their seats in Rupp. It’s hard to believe, and even harder to accept I suppose, the sea change that’s happening in college sports.

Use halftime to disinfect the seats after the students leave to go party then let paying customers come in for the second half.

You think 3,000 seats in the home venue is going to make or break a recruit's decision? I seriously doubt any incoming recruit knows the capacity of Rupp at all, let alone splitting hairs on how it compares to UL and UNC by a few seats, when they're all basically the same size. This is an absurd thing to get mad about.

At 50% I can see long time ticket holders being upset when told that they have to spread out into the end-zones and upper decks. I can see them all crowding in the lower bowls and between the goal posts “. I’ve had tickets for 30 years and I’m not sitting in the upper deck.” Some will say.

There will be no college football in a Feb-May season in 2021. It's fall, 2020 or no cfb in the 2020-2021 school year.
