If by top heavy you mean 2/3 of the class is Top 150 level quality, then I guess. Of our lower level guys Metz was heavily recruited by UGA, Brooks is an absolute nightmare of a slot guy and Waldrep is a typical 3-star interior lineman type. It's a great class at every position but one, which is the big negative (defensive line).
Best OL class in the country, elite QB, solid group of WRs, great LB/edge guys, very good DBs. Defensive line is a massive must for 2026 with little in this class and a lot of upperclassmen heading out this year and next.
We're also not just recruiting out West, we've signed a bunch of really good players from all over.
#2 OT from Texas
#2 WR from Mississippi
#2 RB from Mississippi (soon)
#5 QB from Texas
#2 ATH from Georgia
#6 EDGE from Ohio
#4 OL from Pennsylvania
#13 EDGE from Kansas
Not to mention, nobody thought DeBoer had contacts anywhere. Everyone thought he had no idea how to recruit

Cross country players are more likely to transfer back close to home if they aren't seen as a projected starter by their sophomore year.
