There was a case here in BR where a 24 year old man met two girls at City Bar, which is 21 and older to get in. They were 16 and had fake IDs.
He was charged with all kinds of shite for that threesome with two girls he met in a bar that everybody in was supposed to be of legal age.
Eventually the charges were dropped I think. But his name was smeared all over the media and it was hard to blame him at all. He wasn't a predator seeking out underage girls, he just thought he hit the jackpot with two 21 year olds.

Was Mingo on the same team with that child sex abuser QB that was kicked out of another SEC school and LSU accepted as their Metsiah? If so, that's a lot of child sex abusers on one team. In LSU's defense, though, they only knew about one of them.

Well since this law clearly has a caveat for a 3 year age differential for those under 17, most of us haven't had sex with an underaged person, even when we were underage

Generally, I agree. Having said that, if he's not guilty of a felony a trial where the record is public may be the only way to clear his name and save his career.
If he's guilty, he'll work very hard to strike a deal with either prosecutors or the victim/family to reduce the charge but his odds of playing again will be very slim.

If you are having to ask or look at an ID to make sure they are old enough they are probably too young for you to be messing with.

I agree but sometimes if you’re mid 20s and a girl says she’s 20 but really is 17 it can be tricky. I’m 56 so the ‘half your age plus 7 years’ rule means a 35-year old is my limit!

He “thought it was odd,” according to documents, because the plan was for the two boys to sleep in a room separate from Mingo. He thought little of it and went back to sleep. According to the document, “The victim was then woken by [Mingo] pulling at his underwear. This occurred for a few minutes until the suspect got more and aggressive and pulled the victim’s underwear down to his shins. The victim advised that when this was occurring, he was scared and pretended to be asleep. [Mingo] put a lotion on that made the victim’s skin burn and … rubbed his penis up and down, in between the victim’s butt crack.”
