LINK: Details of Mingo allegations

Wow, here I thought the details wouldn't come out due to the victim being a minor, and within 24 hours graphic details come out.

Mingo's lawyer is saying it's a fake accusation.

Had to Google because I was sure even the skankiest ghetto mama wouldn’t name her baby Barkevious. But sure enough.

It's not any worse than Kentavious.

I'd be very surprised if "she said she was 18" is an affirmative defense to any kind of sexual contact with a minor in Texas.

Guy I went to HS with tried that and it didn’t work. Met a girl at a bar you had to be 21 to enter while he was playing with the Astro’s organization. Took her back to his place, she stayed a night or two. Turns out she was a 15-16 year old runaway. He did a couple of years.

*full disclosure he had already gotten in trouble for a Senior/Freshman type of relationship before being drafted out of HS which may have hurt his defense.

Career!?! F that. If true, this guy needs to be taken to a field and have a bullet put in his head.

Child rapists are the worse people on earth.

Forget a bullet, dude should be castrated with a rusty dull blade if true then tortured indefinitely.

It would fall under this law in Texas. No knowledge of age isn’t a defense

The law ranges from statutory rape to sending dick picks to a minor.

So there is no gray area? Like if a girl were to in every reasonable way imply she was 18, including making her way into a bar with a fake ID that everyone must be 18 to enter, its up to every guy to speak to that persons birth mother or be presented with a birth certificate and social security card to remove any legal issues? Ill never condone this kind of thing but a 22 yr old sleeping with a 17 yr old while the 17 yr old had put herself in a place to 100% believe she was 18 is no less illegal than what this situation is. There has to be a some kind of gray area.

It was a boy that, at most, was 16 years old. It was also reportedly not consensual.

I see. I guess consent is step 1. Step 2 would be assurance. Which could mean losing out on getting laid. Older people could shy away from the grey area to find assurance.

A "child" in Texas is anyone under 18 -- withholding judgment until the facts are made public.

The report is that the act was non consensual. In that case the age doesn’t matter, it only impacts the charges he faces.

Also, he is 30 years old and it allegedly happened 2 years ago. There would still be a lot wrong if he were a 28 year old NFL player and out picking up 16 and 17 year olds even if the act was legal.
