In its last 14 quarters of action, Alabama’s defense has given up just 20 total points, including just three total points in the last two games.
The defense is now ranked No. 1 in the SEC and No. 6 nationally among Power Five teams in scoring defense (19.3 points per game).

Just think how good they will be when they learn to tackle

Paper tiger. The opposing offenses have been putrid and missing key players on top of that.

we hear how great bama's D is every year. Until it isn't and then bama fans tell everybody how there have been holes all year for everybody to see.

I'm telling you now, the holes are still there.

Yep, the holes are there. We were able to adjust to Kentucky’s shifts yesterday and come out well. Kentucky also self-imploded at key times (they should buy a long snapper) and simply didn’t have the horses to begin with. Couple that with being without some key starters (long snapper, too).

We won’t have time for a wasted quarter of football in some of the other games this season.

They have honestly looked much better in previous weeks. They started a little slow yesterday, assuming due to the 3 week layoff but they were impressive in the 2nd half.

The defense is good. No touchdowns given up in what 9 quarters? That defense is doing really good.

Who did they play during those games. Ole Miss is the only decent Offense they have faced.

I think all of us have been saying all year we have holes.

It's a good defense. It's not anywhere close to a great defense.

Absolutely this. They have moments where they look very impressive. Next possession is full of WTFs. Frustrating for fans and probably infuriating for coaches.

Moses looks smaller than he did before his injury. Looks like he is getting pushed around more in the middle by opposing OL.

Mr. Coach Gus Malzahn will change that average when he scores 24 points on Saturday.

I won't put it all on Moses because at times, several defensive players look lazy when trying to make tackles. Moses just seems to not wrap up a lot and a middle linebacker kinda needs to do that to prevent big gains. Nix will give our defense fits.

Not talking about his play, but his size. Looks more like a DB than a LB.

Ain’t no one said that. This defense has had issues since 2018. Lots of things have played a role in that. But the reality is that it’s just a good defense. It hasn’t been great since 2017.

Well, let’s see if Gus has it figured out for this year.

Right?

He had it figured out with a freshman QB last year. Hell, he has figured it out quite often under saban. saban has a hell of a time figuring out Gus' O.
