Is it good now or does LSU just suck that bad?

Probably a mix. They’re getting better each week it seems, but LSU’s defense is pretty sucky much of the time.

They showed a lot of new looks last night and your coaches never adjusted.

It is much improved but it helps to play a really shitty defense.

A little of both. Last night was the first game all year we called a full game to compliment Milroe’s few strengths. Not sure why we’ve kept him bottled up all year, but we are dangerous when he’s able to use his feet. It did help that LSU’s defense is uncharacteristically bad this year.

Meh, LSU is embarrassingly bad, but the Bama offense has come a long way since Texas and South Florida.

Tennessee’s defense is pretty good.

Mix. Bamas offense is getting better the OL and QB are the two biggest areas of improvement but LSU defense is bad. Your front 7 was manhandled all night. I haven’t seen that in about 5 yrs 202 Bama just threw all over LsU you have to go back to 2010s to watch a game where Bama dominated the LOS like that against LSU.

Both. Alabama offense has gotten a lot better. Mostly just because they can use more of the playbook with Milroe at this point. The OL has also gotten a lot better the last month. But for sure still has flaws. It’s just a young group overall finding its way.

Don’t get it twisted. This is one of the worst defenses in college football.

The LSU DL without Wingo is pretty weak and the edge rushers are bad. Mason Smith starting to look like a bust after his injury last year.

They were down more CBs and were playing a light box to help the secondary out. They were also down a top DL and don't have a ton of depth still. Oh, and the SEC really wants two top 10 teams in the SECCG for both ratings and the playoff.

All this being said, Bama has improved some, but mostly, it just seems their depth is winning out in second half. If a team hems Milroe in, then it comes down to covering pretty good, but not extraordinary receivers dealing with a not particularly accurate QB.

How would it look with Milroe unable to run?

Like the offense you saw against Texas and USF.

When he runs it changes everything because DCs can’t rush the passer effectively which converts drive killing sacks from earlier in the season into first down runs while opening up the passing game.

But let’s not get it twisted, LSU might have the worst P5 defense in the country with the all the injuries.

LSU looked more like a big 12 defense last night. I don’t understand how a consistently stout defense falls so quickly.
