Burrow ain’t no system QB. First I’ve seen that from someone - especially a LSU fan.

He seems like a legit pro-level guy to me - regardless of system.

Certainly does not feel worse than the loss to Ole Miss (either year).

LSU is a very good team and we lost my 5.

Ole Miss was a shitty team, so those losses hurt my pride more.

It was a 5-point loss to a really good team. It sucks, but we’ve been here before. The streak vs LSU was going to end someday. It was a hard fought game in which Bama roared back and almost pulled off a miraculous comeback. There is no shame in that. We’re 8-1 and still have a shot at the playoffs. We don’t control our destiny any more but we’re still the 4th ranked team in the nation. We’ll see what happens.

No, it feels like you had your best offense in at least a decade and still needed a fumble, interception, and special teams error to pull off a five-point victory.

Not saying that Bama beat themselves because LSU played a major factor in the nervousness that lead to the miscues and LSU did score 46 points all on their own, but this was no humiliating beat down like the Clemson loss.

If the roles were reversed, I don't think I'd be crowing as much as y'all are, but I understand why you are.

So if he’s healthy how much better can he play than 400+ yds and 4 tds?

Are y’all whistling past the graveyard with that defense and putting too much stock in Tuas ankle? The guy played a heck of a game

Tua is every bit as good as Burrows unless you consider that he's obviously injury prone and your guy is bullet proof. In this game he couldn't run so that made it 100x more easier to rush him. And you didn't need a LB to spy on him which gave an extra man to rush or cover in the secondary. Tua was 21/40 which is his worst percentage passing while at Bama. He is a LOT better than that.

Players play with a brace all the time. Blaming the loss on an injured Tua is weak. Man up and accept defeat
We just wanted another crack at you guys. 3 in a row ruining your Natty chances would be priceless. Oh well, if you beat LSU we're definitely out so there's your chance to best us this year.

Auburn kept it in check.
Well yeah, there is no such thing as an unstoppable offense. That's why you have defense. There's always a counter to exploit a team's weakness. With Auburn, it's their d line. That d line played good enough to get Coach O to go up to them after the game and freak the frick out in excitement for how well they played.

Ed "Rosy Finch Boyz" Orgeron are making better staff hires
I know it's easy to fall into the trap of making fun of Ed Orgeron, but let's not pretend the guy hasn't been involved with great programs. Miami in the 80's, USC in the 2000's, made a stop with the Saints, we all know about Ole Miss and Tennessee, etc. The guy knows a thing or two about coaching. His mentors are Jimmy Johnson and Pete Carroll. I'd say that's good company to have in the mentor column.

With recruiting, he personally recruited and put together those USC teams in the early to mid 2000's. He's responsible for getting talent at Ole Miss and Tennessee. The guy is a "recruit whisperer". That's what he's best known for. He has that thing that draws recruits in.

I'm not gonna sit here and try to one up Nick Saban with Ed Orgeron. But I will adamantly go toe to toe with anybody who looks at Ed Orgeron as simply a dumb lucky coonass who doesn't know shite - and tell you how ignorant you really are if you think that. Look at Wikipedia page and his experience/resume.

The old "har har you have a dumb coonass who can't talk right" shtick is beyond old. Ed Orgeron is finally showing the world what he can do, and I'm so fricking happy for him that he is.

For the most part, I've enjoyed the Bama fans on here getting real and giving honest replies. We don't expect you to be shaking in your boots about LSU. But I wouldn't go around thinking that LSU is gonna lay down and die and that this year was a fluke. It's no fluke, buddy. Bama may very well win a few more titles with Saban. But guess what, LSU is right fricking there too - minus the anitquated bullshite that Les Miles left us with that set us back for almost a decade.

You needed a gimmick play and a lucky punt return. He never gets outside containment without the facemask. And still never had the ball down 1 score after it was 10-0

It was a repeat of the entire year. Play 2 solid downs on defense and give up a play on third and long. Over and over again. Someone would blow an assignment or not fill a gap or something.

The tackling was terrible. We got 5 sacks but it easily could have been 7 or 8, we let the QB slip out of there when we should have had him.

Cover that running back and we win the game. Plain and simple. That and the QB runs. Goes back to ILB play that's been lacking all year. The WR's didn't kill us, those plays did.

So you’re saying he showed up on campus this good last year? Interesting why he just decided to break out this year.....

I’d argue he was taken from good to outstanding by this staff. I wouldn’t count on LSU going back to Anthony Jennings type qbs after burrow.
