Bama is the most talented team in the country and on paper should win a national championship.

Bama is also the most undisciplined and surprisingly unprepared elite team in the country and has done nothing to show they are ready to play consistently on the road.

TLDR: Who knows.

The NIL has effects outside recruiting. I'm talking about the effects on the players themselves when they are getting paid good money. It makes them more likely to be lazy, more likely to not work as hard, etc.
Ah! I thought I might have misunderstood...thus the ETA.

And I'm willing to bet that the more money involved in the NIL recruits and the more recruits with NIL, the higher the chances of it affecting things.

I can see that. They are more apt to become complacent. Some will remain laser focused on the bigger dollars that can be gained in the long haul.

I’ve got Bama winning a close one in BR and losing a close one in Oxford.

Rebuilding year if BAMA doesn't win it all.

Greatest coaching job of Saban's career if he does.

We have played terrible on the road this year, so I have no idea what to expect. Could easily lose one of these games.

Turnovers, penalties, running the ball, Keeping Bryce healthy, and keeping dropped passes to a minimum. Those are the keys to the rest of of the year for Bama. If Bama keeps the mistakes to a minimum and keeps Bryce healthy then the rest of the year should go very well for Bama despite a poor defense at times.

The fact that this is still a narrative despite our very public struggles with the refs this year boggles the mind.

They sure did come through for against Texas and aTm. Two games you lose if not for the refs saving in the finals minutes of both games

The average player, even at Bama, is not getting huge NIL deals. Hell, your most valuable NIL guy (Bryce) seems like the ONLY one that actually has a fire right now.

To your point though, then why pay anyone, of any age, a fair value for their work? I assume you get paid for whatever you do as a job—do you not strive to get better at your craft so you can make even more next year?

In short, Jamarcus Russell before he got paid vs after he got paid

LOL, bad example. Russell was the same guy at LSU, he just didn’t have to deal with NFL defenses or learn a complicated NFL offense and study opponents as much.

He skated by on a huge arm likely since middle school.

Be careful here. I remember when Bama was a 30 point favorite and had to hang on for dear life last year.
