How long before its taken away again because your coked up students can't keep from using profanity for a few hours a week?

Literally 1 time through is my guess

Well, they hoped to cover up the overt racism of playing this song by having an African-American participate in these video-based shenanigans.

I'm a college grad (unlike most of you who failed welding college and instead spend your free time fricking fat girls in bathroom stalls). Mizzou stopped playing "Dixie" in the 60s, just as everyone else should have. This 80s version is just an attempt to slap a dog-whistle veneer over the ugliness of the schoolhouse door and Bull Connor.

100,000 people yelling frick Auburn at the same time is awesome.

If they decide to take it away again we should just chant "frick Auburn" over and over again, which is what we all really want to say anyway.

Best way to combat the profanity is to get the 80,000 non students to sing some new lyrics (beat Auburn) to drown out the students. Sounds like this is the plan based on what Byrne said about following the video board.

Anytime they play a song just chant “frick Auburn” in any pause

TV is why

Seems like the solution is just to make the producer aware that they shouldn't use the student section audio feed when they're playing the song(s).

Why do you think they had an African American in the video?
Good Lord! Damien is a starting RB who came back to Alabama for his Senior season because in his own words....

“... I just wasn’t ready to leave yet, and I wanted to come back to this team and continue to try to do something even more special than what we’ve already accomplished. I just wanted to come back. There’s a lot of people that I have a lot of love for. I love this coaching staff, I just really love being a part of this team. … I just really wanted to be a part of this team for one more year.

Leave it to the Mizzou fan to SJW the the thread. Maybe the students will add a verse about shite swastikas and riots instead of "frick Auburn"

Why do you people care so much about what the students chant during the song? It's Dixieland Delight, it's a classic.

Because we have to maintain this fallacy that “our students are classy!” Despite the fact that nowhere in the country are college kids classy

Then again... maybe it’s just a ploy to get students to stay through the fourth qtr.

That's just stupid. It's not going to get them to stay. None of them were even in school the last time Dixieland Delight was played.

After the game, I will be drinking at Egan's, where the normal Tuscaloosa folk imbibe. We will be talking about how racism has no place in 2018 Alabama, or anywhere.

You already know this was Miss Terry's idea. Had to come up with something after Saban went ham

Probably true, She’s been protecting him for years. Poor little guy can’t even father a child, so she’s used to it.

I understand. But you're completely nuts if you think the original impetus for playing this song had nothing to do with racism. Impetus

You had to look up ‘impetus’ to make sure you were using it correctly? Good god you’re a moron. You come across as someone who wasted time on a shitty masters, knows it’s shitty, and therefore has a giant chip on their shoulder. So you try to put people down with your (self) perceived intelligence but you just can’t pull it off. Is that pretty much it?

Oh yeah: Egans, lol.

Someone posted above prices just jumped on the Facebook Student Ticket page.

If true, then your skepticism regarding this is stupid.
Perhaps you need to evolve a bit more.

ZERO!!!!! Better enjoy it this weekend cause it'll be the last time you hear Dixieland Delight in Bryant Denny Stadium. It'll probably louder than normal because of the withdrawal symptoms

It is a song about getting a piece of arse in the back of a truck. So, the "sing it with class" objective is not really their strongest argument from the on set.
