Do you think Kirby will go for it on 4th 5 times in the first half, including 3 on his own side of the 50? Oh are we discounting completely shutting down a top 10 offense now? Also.....do you really want to ask the question about going for stupid 4th downs?

5 times. I’m just saying I think Lane might’ve had a stroke or something.

The 10-2 team ranked #8 in the country?

They're both scared.

UGA knows they are better but also know they aren't sure if they can beat daddy.

Bama knows UGA is better and isn't sure if they can win for probably the first time in 12 years.

Nice edit lol

Ole miss….

Alabana will have to play like they did vs Ole Miss (OM go 0-15 on 4th down lol), USM, Mercer and NMSU…talking lights out Elite football and UGA play their absolute worst for alabana to have a chance.

Hey, why do you post #3 in SEC and 10-2 #7…edit #8 to try and make your point instead of saying, alabana was up 35-0 on OLe Miss…Weird

We still have a chance, but we are underdogs for obvious reasons.

Both fanbases are somewhat nervous, hence not much trash talk. UGA is facing a team that has had their number and is arguably the largest hurdle. Bama is an underdog who isn't really expected to win.

Pretty accurate. I think this will be a hell of a game. If it’s competitive to the end I’ll be happy with either outcome. Best team wins and goes to play for it all.

If it wasn't for Saban on the other side, UGA fans would be a lot more confident.
We know we can beat Bama, but you gotta respect Saban.

This is the most relaxed our fan base has been before an SEC Championship game. All hype is on UGA. Perfect position for us to be in.

Correct. Bama is a threat to UGA. UGA is a threat to Bama. It's not a rivalry in a classic sense. It's nothing personal, just business.

Today, the Georgia blog Get the Picture has a write-up about this very thing.

quote:

It’s going out of the championship game that’ll mark both sides. A ‘Bama win will just reinforce the good, but not good enough mantra as it applies to Georgia, while a Dawg victory… well, we’d have a different song to sing.

“A win would make it so much more fun,” Hubbard says. “It would fix the ‘little-brother’ attitude. Alabama has 18 national championships, Georgia is the laughingstock of the conference having all this talent but nothing to show for it. But [a win] would make this a much more level playing field.”

“If Georgia does [beat Alabama] and becomes the top dog in college football, they would have taken down Alabama, the defending SEC champion and national champion,” Woods says. “They could shut the door on the past and establish themselves. If they got a dominant win, that would bode well for Georgia for the future.”

Here your problem, No, alot of Bama fans are sort of expecting a loss Saturday. Problem for UGa is that the players that line up for Bama are expecting to win. They will be relentless. If UGa cannot put them away early, then the dynamic changes to favor Bama more and more into the 4th quarter.
