LSU has traditionally worn white at home and away because the white jerseys were cheaper.

We don't have to not wear team colors since TV in now in color, white for visitors occurred during black and white TV

They tried to bring this back in 09 or 10. Saban said no, due to it just being another game. Saban killed this rivalry with dominance.

Mizzou has traditionally worn jerseys that look like they're in the MAC because they're irrelevant. The Mizzou and OU peanut galleries in this thread need to be silent this is a cool story about a tradition being revived in our conference (not yours).

All for tradition and what not

But this isn’t like USC/UCLA doing this. Is there really enough contrast between these 2 jerseys to not confuse the QBs?
