Do they even have a full coaching staff?

The new coach probably isn't too worried about playing in the bowl game.

He's probably busy doing more important things. I hope he is anyway.

Do you not get the extra practices and what not that you used to with a bowl game? I would think a new coach would want all the time on the field with his team he could get

Bowl season sucks now use to be the best part of the holidays. ONLY the playoffs matter--go to 16 teams head to head no bye and do away with all the other bowl games.

I would think a new coach would love to evaluate his new team on a bowl game. Get a jump start before spring ball

Not now with NIL and coaching changes--its often a huge mismatch due to those reasons and fans don't travel anymore to the games.

Your team just spent the last 24 hours arguing that Alabama should be admitted anyways despite being crushed in a meaningless game. What's more is that your team has also been arguing to do away with conference championships altogether! Auburn would be playing in a truly meaningless game that goes nowhere, win or lose. Welcome to a world where Alabama isn't the only school paying players anymore. Welcome to paid, professional, college football. It's because of teams like Alabama that this is happening. And yet you guys whine and bitch about it every way the wind turns all along the way. Pathetic.

Man this guy has a lot of time on his hands to bitch and whine.

Those bowls are absolutely, completely useless.

A few extra weeks of practice and look at some of the reserves can help evaluate those guys for next season, and give more data points evaluating needs ahead of the portal window.

A few extra weeks of practice for the underclassmen who don't opt out? Cool.

We're going to start seeing the bowl games die off, probably next year.

It was a dumb call from our leadership, IMO. We could use the extra practice. Our new staff could evaluate players. We could get a jump on knowing who is entering the portal. We may get our shite pushed in, but it would do nothing but be beneficial for the future.

I get why Auburn doesn’t want to play.

Maybe the format should be different. Only let returning players practice and play. Don’t penalize a player for potentially burning a redshirt. Only let coaching assistants coach, not the HC, DC or OC. It’s like a glorified scrimmage. Play the game in JHS.

Second, third and fourth stringers might be exited. It gives the team extra practice. And the fans get a preview of next year’s talent.

Have the loser of the Alabama-Oklahoma playoff game play them.

It’s more football and more practice.

You Bamtards made another thread accusing Auburn of shilling for a bowl game at 5-7.

You all take a few days off and figure out your troll strategy.

Good for Auburn. Would like to think we'd do the same thing in their circumstances, but doubt it.
