Yep, more than just trees. They were a living symbol of happy times and celebrations for a lot of people over many decades.
We will have a new symbol there eventually though.

Turnout was way bigger than I thought it would be.
It was suffocating walking through the crowd

Are there any Auburn Police scanners online so we can listen as the celebration of old traditions continues?

Dunno, but it would be pretty boring listening. Tommers celebrations don't require much policing and are family friendly.

He killed your trees, but he couldnt kill what makes Auburn a great school; you'll start a new tradition. 99% of the SEC - even the Gumps (probably especially the Gumps) - hate what he did.

Agreed, let's face it. It is the fans that made the tradition what it was. I won't lie it pissed me off and when I see pics of the guy I get a little riled. However, I am ready to move on and hopefully new and better to come.

What is more impressive is that this many crowded into a small area after what happened in Boston on Monday. Americans are not easily intimidated.
Crazies/Jihadists/Whatevers are learning not to frick with Boston.
They already know not to frick with Auburn.

Why not just throw shite on some other tree? Doubt those two were the only one's on campus.

Having lost one of the traditions that defined our school, we know what our friends at Auburn are going through.
So here's to the hope that with some school spirit, perseverance (and a couple of wealthy donors), Auburn doesn't miss a beat restoring Toomer's to its former glory.

If god had to give Earth an enema he would insert it in Auburn AL. This is the reason these morons throw paper used to wipe your anus into these dead trees. Simple.

Auburn should hang Updyke from the biggest tree, then when they are cut down, ship the wood to Boston where they could put it to use by building a huge Bonfire and Roasting that fricker who Bombed the marathon.
