Allen Greene's trying to relocate the team to Miami. Gus is gonna get Nix some glasses and we'll be unstoppable.

Like that's an option.

Something like taking a bus instead of flying may sound small, but disrespect adds up. With teammates already lashing out on the sideline, Auburn's season could very well boil over with a loss this weekend.

It's really not about the time, either. It's a prestige thing for players. You take a bus to the game in High School. You fly in college and the pros.

I don't disagree but I think you completely missed my point.

I was responding to the notion that the long bus ride was not good for the players after a 3.5 hour football game.

I can tell you Auburn has plenty of money for the Football Program. They are doing this because the University is going to have to make some cuts pretty soon and they do not want the AD to look like they are getting preferential treatment. This is Lip Service by Greene, but endorsed by the President. Gus isn't ballsy enough to stand up and say no.

Where are the Supremes?

It's cruel and unusual punishment being forced to endure a 6 hour bus ride after losing to a team that hasn't beat you in 87 years.

Are you having fun, Owen Pappoe?

Always possible! I have been known to do that from time to time!

I mean, I get it to an extent. But being able to get up and move around and stretch your legs when you get to the airport, board the plane, get off the airplane etc helps a bit. More so than sitting on a cramped bus for 6 hours. (That seems like a long time. Does it take that long?)

I think the prestige thing is going to mean more to the players, though.

I believe you. I was not meaning to put Auburn down. Mainly talking about the optics to players from a recruiting standpoint.

They have 2 players on roster that is training to be pilots. They can’t pull some strings and see if they can’t get someone to fly them at a cheaper rate.

I think it is BS. It shows the AD doesn't have a hair on his balls and wants to show the College Athletic World he is fiscally responsible. He also did it to the Baseball Team when they made the Regionals. He is looking for the next job and many at AU want him to get it.

I'm sure Auburn can afford his buyout,

Very few schools pay the buyout. IF you think that is how it works, check out what has been going on with Fat Bert.

Honestly I don’t see why this deserves ridicule. Everyone but the most elite schools will be broke after this year

I don’t understand the Allen Greene hate either. He’s done nothing wrong other than extend a sorry WBB coach.

Bama should have ridden busses home from Colombia when we let Steven Garcia beat us.

Auburn's AD is top 15 nationally in revenue, is Arkansas'?

You may be right. Of course if they flew instead of driving six and a half hours, they would still spend about an hour on a bus going to the airport, about an hour boarding and waiting to take off, an hour and a half flying, about thirty minutes getting off the plane and onto another bus and then about an hour on the bus to Auburn.

Not much of a difference actually except to message board peeps.
Explain away buddy. It looks cheap, and it’s a guaranteed recruiting tactic along with Gus remaining on his perpetual hit seat.
