Not as stellar as last year.

Punting = decline
FG= good
punt returns= stellar

Punt coverage has been inconsistent. Return game has been good. FG kicker has missed a couple but is solid.

Punter and punt coverage are not good. Kick off coverage is ok but we normally kick it out of the end zone. FG kicker has a leg but has missed two already so he sucks in my book, but may improve. Bray is the nations leading punt returner and our kick off returners havent had much opportunity to show what they can do

Our field goal defense is the best in the country. Opponents are 3/12 in the past five regular season games for a net 3 points.

Should we think that is a good thing? Just wondering.

If I were Auburn's ST coach, I would instruct the punter to take a little off the hang time and distance of his punts when/if Tre'Davious White is the returner. Make White field a bouncing ball, and tell the gunners to look to set up a big hit/forced fumble.

White has very questionable-horrible judgment fielding those types of kicks. Last week he attempted to field a bouncing ball inside the 5-yard line, and somehow Bill Bucknered it -- the ball went through his legs and into the end zone for a touchback.

He's a very good cornerback and has skill as a returner, but he has to improve his judgment on those bouncing balls. Because of that, I wouldn't be surprised to see Trey Quinn or Travin Dural as the returner on Saturday.

If AU punts behind their 40 White should be returning punts. Beyond their 40 Quinn should be returning punts.
