What is the deal with that Auburn scrimmage? The new coach gave a few players praise but said overall the tackling and blocking was really bad in this scrimmage. Sounds like he is really worried about those 2 things.

From what I can tell, some players played well, but overall there was some sloppy play with regards to tackling and blocking.

Yep might not be much just typical coach speak. Is the O line a lot of new transfers?

OL is definitely the biggest question mark going into the season. Whole OL is *technically* new. Center was with Golesh as USF but the rest of the projected starters are new. They will be a work in progress for sure.

It is also the first scrimmage. Those usually aren't your sharpest ones, but listening to the full interview it didn't sound like a bad scrimmage overall, just plenty that still needs to be ironed out. Sounds like Brown & 1st string O had a very solid day. Redzone offense and defense seemed to do well. Pre-snap things (which i'd assume is probably what led to some blocking assignment issues) and consistent tackling the biggest issues of the day.

No one cares about auburn. They bought up all the major media in Alabama just so they could post articles about themselves for their own ego.

Good for him to call it out. Gotta get it fixed before the season starts. I expect Auburn to have a really good defense with them keeping Durkin and having some top players back. I think Auburn is going to have a good season.

Except of course the OG that Golesh brought with him

Unless something has changed, he's been running with the 2nd string I believe.

Yep the UF- Auburn game will be big to both teams. I think our line will be alright at all positions except maybe left tackle. I guess Westphal didn't have enough time post injury to take that spot until sometime in the season and I have a hard time believing Ugorji won't get owned in SEC play on passing downs after last season and the spring game. Boyer maybe can get better footwork and not be a big liability there.

Comrade Golesh is different than Softass Hugh the golfer.

He put good against good.
The Pogram for the entire SEC will be implemented soon.
