Kid could learn the lesson given by Blakeney. You gotta "keep it down home cuz."

I ain't got no problem with it - we gotta keep UA and AU moving forward baby!!

So how is that not pulling an offer?

Because their writers are saying that they would have still have had a spot for him. Just what I read from OB their main board.

Remember, your job as a bag man isn't to hide the benefit. It's to hide the proof. In a region as passionate about college football as the American South, there's no real moral outrage when new cars or clothes or jobs for relatives appear.

"We can only get away with whatever's considered reasonable by the majority of the folks in our society. That's why it's different in the SEC. Maybe that's why we're able to be more active in what we do. Because no one ever looks at the car or the jewelry and says, 'How did you get that, poor football player?' They say, 'How did they get you that and not get caught, poor football player?'"

You're gonna tell a kid two days before he enrolls that he isn't committed anymore but you still have a spot for him two days later?

"It's a small group. If you grow up in the state, you end up knowing folks. It's really that simple. But that won't stop them from trying to bury your arse when it gets down to it. A few years back, we were fighting hard for a kid in their backyard. We went for a full year with the family, thought we had it wrapped up. Still thought we had it done the night before Signing Day. He liked our coaches. But the family keeps dragging it and dragging it. Late that night I get a call, and it's the player on the phone, the kid himself. You could tell he was nervous. He said, ‘Mr. [name], I talked to my mama, and we decided that $70,000 and we're going with you, if you can promise us $70,000 tonight.' I knew right away we were being recorded, and I knew the a-hole down there who had set it up. I knew him personally. They had him. That part was done. But they wanted to get someone on tape to try and turn it over to the NCAA. So I said, 'Well gosh [player name], we'd love to see you here next season, but we just don't do that kind of thing.' Then I hung up."

We had a similar stance when Saban first got to Bama. If you were committed to us, fine. But if you start looking at other schools, we were going to start looking for your replacement. The offer is still there, but we aren't saving you a spot if someone else commits.

All these Florida guys committing to Texas is so weird, I expect most, if not all of them, to decommit.

Been busy and not reading the whole thing, what is the thread about?

I thought it was reported Tim Irvin already committed?

Why isn't this on the recruiting board?

Anyway, welcome Tim WDE!

Guys, go ahead and cry all you want.

Auburn single handedly destroyed the NCAA.

Our undefeated 2004 team started the process by which we arrived at the death of the BCS and started a playoff.

Our honesty and truthfulness throughout the Cam Newton scandal prevented the NCAA from uncovering ANY violations after a 1 1/2 year probe into Auburn football. We received no sanctions at all.

Chatter all you want. Who cares if Irvin got money? The NCAA no longer exists, and Auburn is too important to the SEC and their $$$ to ever punish us again.

We will do what we want, when we wan,t and how we want.

Accept it.

They didn't pull his offer, they just thought that if he visited Auburn he would commit there (they were right) and didn't want to count him as a commit since they thought he wasn't going to Texas any more.

When's the last time UGA snatched a player out from underneath another school who was ahead of them recruiting? Has UGA ever Tunsil'd another school?

Isiah McKenzie commiting to Georgia last year was a pretty big surprise to most people. Did he even visit before his commitment? I am personally not worried about this. I have seen kids from a bunch of different schools including several SEC schools post similar shots of them holding money. Nothing has ever happened over any of those pictures.

You didn't just say that did you?

OMG, just go back and look at Cam's statements during that time. It was all lies. Only what was proved was admitted to.

And the BCS died cause of the 2011 LSU/Bama repeat game not the 2004 AU season.

WTF are you smoking?
