Negatory, but he is in line to be the next great Auburn quarterback. It's nice to finally have some stability to the position through multiple seasons.

You are crazy if you aren't worried about a trip to Tiger Stadium.

Brandon Harris does not suck, he will be our starter. He will also be competely different than the last time you saw him. He will play and play well. We don't need him to do anything spectacular.

You also have no reason to think that Steele will make our defense terrible. He's had bad outings with terrible defenses at Clemson. But Chavis lost us more games than he won for us. You will see that next year. This defense still has the best secondary in the country and now your team will be throwing the ball more. Works for us.

And lets also not get caught up in the final score from last year. With better play calling and a QB not about to shite his pants every snap we dont lose by as much. Not to mention the stupid play by Coates who will now be gone.

If our QB plays a decent game, and one of our DBs at least holds his own against Duke then we should win.

They'll have a better QB in Jeremy Johnson, so the Offense should be better......

My statement was pretty straight forward. What do you not understand?

Nick Marshall can flick a ball 60-70 yards effortlessly. He has one of th strongest arms I've ever seen when it comes to distance.

Big "if" in both cases.

LSU isn't very good.

Define decent. These are the worst QBs that Les Miles has had on his roster since he arrived at BR.

Gus is as good as anyone at matching what AU does well against what your defense struggles with.

Missouri can't stop the power running game? Hello, unbalanced formation and Tre Mason.

Bama's DBs can't maintain coverage on long throws? Sammy, go long.

You cant throw last years beatdown completely on LSUs offense. Auburn scored on their first 4 possessions of the game. That's not on the offense. Fact is LSU couldn't stop Auburn.

I don't see LSU being much better than last year.

Lets see JJ play week after week. It's been a few years for him.
Nick could have used some more touch, but how many dropped balls were there?
Melvin Ray will shine.
OL i think is a ?
There is only one direction for the defense to go.

This is a good thread.......IMO Gus will have that offense clicking. JJ is a damn good QB and he knows the offense. Defense will be improved, special teams is a ?

Jeremy Johnson has an NFL arm. He puts a ton of velocity on his ball with a flick of the wrist, resembling the release of someone like Michael Vick or Jamarcus Russell. I agree with you about Marshall having a strong arm.. He threw hard and had a nice deep ball. Johnson however is capable of making more difficult throws like deep outs, posts, and crossing patterns with greater ease than Marshall did.

However, Marshall's speed and explosiveness gave the offense a dimension that is difficult to quantify. Johnson can run, but Marshall's ability to break a long run brought in safety help and opened up the deep ball. That doesn't mean that next season will be the same as the 2009 Chris Todd offense either though, as Johnson is much more athletic and does pose some threat on the ground. I think it would be a combination of 2010 and 2009, similar to something like OSU under Barrett Jones this year.
