He looked like dogshit against a Big 10 team

I may be alone here, but I think he’ll be pretty good going forward. Our offensive line can only get WORSE.

If you came away with Nix being the issue you don't know how to watch football.

Exactly. I’m fine with Nix considering he’s a true freshman. He needs help on the line and at RB

He stinks. No pockets presence and his accuracy sucks.

Auburn loses their Oline and Dline.. they better hope Nix develops. I expected more in the bowl game. He is just a freshman. But the development GAP is substantial

But his dad is well known and a donor. That equals royalty and a starter at auburn.

Hitting 65% of his passing after being put in a bad position all day is pretty good. Plus he's on a streak of about 150 passes without an interception. Even the GOAT Burrow can't claim that.

SEC west teams like Nix.
Leave him alone. LOL

Disagree.. and Minnesota has some players.. Big10 isn’t the Acc or b12. They can play with the Sec. that narrative doesn’t work. Minnesota’s corn fed Oline neutralized that Dline enough. They have legit wrs and a qb Fleck has made freaking Minnesota a NY6 winner. Damn impressive

All this thread tells me is you never put on pads and stepped foot on a football in your life.
Nix is a true freshman QB playing behind an offensive line with the blocking fundamentals of a Rec football team being coached by a well meaning but clueless team dad.
Auburn’s problem isn’t Bo Nix and it isn’t talent. Auburn’s problem is it’s coached by a man who has allowed his team to become so rusty when it comes to basic fundamentals like blocking that their offense cannot control the line of scrimmage, cannot establish a running game, cannot protect the QB, and cannot sustain drives on a consistent basis.
Today’s game was a prime example. Only twice today did Auburn pit together a solid drive that resulted in touchdowns. Most drives were three & out making our defense play longer and longer as the game progressed.
Bottom line, Auburn’s problems begin and and with one man. That man is Gus Malzhan.

There are some things in life that should never be compared in a conversation. These two are a perfect example.

quote:Why? Because he looked good 1 year of his entire career? Last year his numbers were very close to Nix this year as a true freshman. So they are a good comparison. Also the point I made is also true. Burrow hasn't gone as long as Nix without throwing a pick.

Give him about two weeks. His streak is at 138 currently

Joe Burrow’s JR stats
2894 Yds
58% completion rate
16 TDs
5 INTs
Nix FR Stats
2366 Yds
57% completion rate
15 TDs
6 INT
I know this is the dumb board that loves hot takes. But Nix is a perfectly good QB who could be elite.
