At worst 9-3. Only probable losses are LSU Georgia and Alabama

Auburn, much like L9U, is always a 7-5 to 8-4 team. Sometimes they just accidentally overachieve.

So lsu has overachieved 15 if the last 20 years, and met expectations the other 5 times?

If they find a QB, they'll make a run. If not, I agree they are a 4 or 5 loss team.

They have 2 losses already scheduled in Bama and Georgia and at least 2 other teams that are better than them.

Maybe, but you can bet 1 win will be beating that Moo State arse.

We are probably an 8-4/9-3 team with an incredibly difficult schedule thus could easily finish 7-5.

Probably a 6-6 team honestly

Well I'll have to defer to the 6-6 expert here

Yeah 7-5, we suck
Now lets get all the pundits to repeat it so we can have our 11-1 season

They’re not losing to a&m. They’re only problem with them was the RB Williams who’s in the nfl now and they still managed to beat them last year so I expect them to win again this year. I can see losses from lsu uga and bama

Lots of hype and tons of questions.

Maybe I haven’t been paying enough attention, but are they really being hyped up that much? Seems like most people expect them to be a good team and possible west contender, but I don’t see many saying they’re some surefire playoff team.

I mean just go look at the prediction thread. Most agree we are right around that.

Auburn would be a 6-6 team if Mississippi State wasn't on their schedule.

16th ranking would put them in the 9-10 win range. It's just not happening.

The only guaranteed loss is @LSU. Cigar game has forever cursed us. Other than that, Auburn is likely a 7-5 or 8-4 team.

So, Auburn will be worse than average this year?

No, more like the majority of the time when the game is usually over by halftime, and Auburn is playing their backups in the second half.

I can't change your mind, because I agree. Their defense will be hell on wheels (just like State last year). Their offense is a huge ?.

The only counterargument I can offer is that Gus has run a great offense through mobile QBs before. If one of their highly rated QBs blossoms into a Nick Marshall type, then all bets are off. We'll see if that materializes for their first year starter. Thing is, Gatewood seems to be impressing.
